What color should i choose?

I’m potentially in the market for a 2021 Tundra since it’ll be the last year before the big redesign. I’m really torn between Toyota’s amazing color options but hate how not all of them are paint matched front to back. The only thing that seems to be paint matched are the Limited nightshade editons or the Platinum trim. Still, those trims are limited to the color options compared to what the SR5 would have. Could i hear around some opinions?

Isn't the TRD sport color matched everywhere except maybe the door handles? Thats an SR5 unless things have changed in the 2021 models.

 

I would get some shade of blue. I would also wait until the new model comes out.

Whatever you want, it’s your truck. (Super White is the fastest, coolest color.)

 

Its sounds like you want a color not available in Limited, Platinum or Nightshade; I haven't played with the new builder so I don't know what the color you want is. Personally I like interior of the 1794; the black interior of the Platinum is what kept me away from this trim and would keep me away from the Nightshade. The only other option for me would have been a Limited with specific colors to allow for a lighter interior.

Unless you are ordering your truck, I would pick three colors you would be happy with and that have the main features you want. Some of the cosmetic color matching can be remedied after purchase. You have several options, from cheaper to expensive, to color match. Its a sellers market right now, IMO, you are opting out of a big part of a limited market if you are too exclusive. Custom ordering is a different option and will limit your price negotiations.

1. Army Green
2. MGM
3. Red, blue or something else interesting that isn't black, white, silver or cement/rock/ whatever

 

TRD Sport is color matched yes but i personally dislike the interior on the SR5 trims.

 

That was one of the color choices on my list.

 

I may have to end up allocating one to be honest. I don’t want to procrastinate and be out of luck when i get told that 2021 Tundra productions have halted.

 

White.

 

The obvious choice is Super White

 

Don't trade in before you check Carvana and VROOM. PreCOVID they were offering near private sale prices. Also recommend shopping your allocation across various dealers to see if any can work with you on price.

 

TRD Pro is color matched as well. Super White is the obvious choice for best color - this is my totally independent, non-bias opinion of course.

 

Why don't you just combine everyone's answer and get BLACK. Kidding, get whatever you think gives you the best resale value. Unless you decide to keep the truck forever, then get BLACK.

Black is an option on all trims.

 

Lunar Rock is the rarest of all the Tundra colors. And it's color matched.

I'm embarrassed to say how many hours I've spent debating this very question. I have a lot of time on my hands. Last week it was calvary blue TRD OR. This week I'm back to ordering a TRD sport in super white from the factory. Army green and Barcelona red have also been spending a lot of time in my head

 

Silver

 

I went threw the same thing when ordering and we ended up with a voodoo blue sport premium and couldn't be happier. The color is amazing and get lots of complements. It's nice to have something different instead of all the white, black, grey I see over and over. Toyota has lots of awesome Colors on the tundra. Good luck.

When I got mine. Cement was my top choice by a large margin.

 

Depends on how much you want to babysit taking care of it. Black (and another dark colors) look great, but they show everything. I get enough sagebrush pin stripes on white. Silver is also a good color for hiding stuff.
