I have 275/70/18 KO2s on my 18 CM. My door jamb says 30F/33R. The inter webs have from 30-45psi. Anyone know what the actual recommended pressure for these tires are? They feeling amazing at 30....but thinking 35 is probably more appropriate.

I have the E rated KO2s and a Topper on the back. What is the chalk test?

I have the same tires on my 17 TRD Pro. 41.5 is too firm. Shakes the entire frame and chassis.

34 feels better, front and rear.

    Your results may vary.

To see the tread pattern imprint. At ideal inflation it will be across the entire width. Too high and more the center shows but not edges and too low it might cup in the middle.

I've also seen where people calculate based on max load of the tire. Whatever the ratio of your truck weight/max load, multiply that by the max load pressure to figure out a good tire pressure for your set up. I found that was too run high in another vehicle but I put 10 ply on a tiny xterra.

I run Nitto Terra Grappler g2's 275/70-18 E rated and found 44 to 45 psi front and back for day to day works well. When towing, I air up the rears to 50 to 55.

    Alot of them
I ran 44 in mine as well when I had them. As a matter of fact, I am running 44 in my 285/70/18 Ridge Grapplers.

I got over 60K miles on my 275/70R/18 KO2's and I ran 40 lbs of pressure. I also religiously rotated them every 5K miles.

I didn't do any towing and I use my truck primarily as a daily driver.

Update. I'm finding that I prefer my Nitto Terra Grappler g2's ride a little better at 42 psi cold. On the freeway they warm & increase to 44-45 which is perfect.

As you can see, pressures folks run range from mid 30s to upper 40 psi, and it really depends on how their truck is set up, add-ons, loaded, etc. Here is info on the chalk test mentioned before- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FabWgDAulGg

I have the exact same tire and The tire shop set them to 38 psi when I installed them. Recently I raised them to 42 psi and think they ran a little smoother.

Yes. If I’m hauling heavy stuff I might air up the rears but generally run same pressures in all tires.
