Tire size with 17"rim

Looking at moving from 20" stock rim down to a 17". Wondering what tire size would look good and fill wheel well a bit.

Also looking at Dobinsons 1.75" lift using their shocks and springs. Thinking 285 75 17 might work.

Any help appreciated.

 

Just got these Wheels and Tires and am running 285/75/17 +0 Offset I am running stock suspension but with a little trimming and a heat gun, I got them to fit with no rub without a BMC. It really depends on the offset of your wheels if the tire will fit or not. Also, don't judge me on my chrome I am working slowly but surely to get it gone.

How much did you have to cut for these to fit? I’m looking at the same sizes. Also can you post a side view of the truck on flat ground?
