    A bunch
They don't put the EB in HD trucks because of the primary use. Let's face it, most half tons are mall crawlers, the most weight they see 95% of the time is the weight of the kids in the back. HD trucks, especially gassers, are pointed at fleet customers so power isn't a concern and will carry weight quite a bit. Throw some weight in the truck and the EB sucks back the fuel. Why have a more complex motor when there's no fuel economy benefit? And you think there would be a diesel engine without a turbo now in passenger vehicles? Not a chance, turbos aren't the issue, they know how to make them reliable (I'll put the caveat in that Ford chases the .3 MPG over reliability so they tweak the turbo the wrong way IMO)

Is the 3.5 a better, more powerful engine, big time - but it's tweaked for MPG and power. If they tuned the 6.2 for power over reliability it would be significantly up on power (GM 6.2 is 420 HP, Ford 6.2 is 385). Different applications require different priorities. And as for reliability I look at diesel's - they are all turbo engines and it's not the turbo that is the issue, it's the emissions.

I'd love to keep having V8's in vehicles (not just trucks, I'd love a V8 sleeper sedan that's not a Dodge) but looking at the market 1/2 tons are not work trucks anymore, they're commuter vehicles now so fuel efficiency is going to win out.

Dammit if that freak wind didn’t just rip my 5.7 badges off too!

Oh, and my old v1.4 firmware cable and older techstream still works. Just had to pick 2016 (newest one in my software). Good bye seat belt chimes (for when my dog sits in the front seat or trips back from the mail box).

Looks so much better without the badges. It was the first thing I did after driving it home from the dealer. Toyota should have kept the badges off and given us a trans cooler instead. :D

These just came in the mail:

Still trying to decide between Rago and ICS, so I did this:

And then did a little judicious debadging:

Still can’t decide on whether to remove the 5.7 badge...

I meant stronger as in towing/hauling, not the actual integrity of the motor. As far as reliability, time will tell. There is definitely more going on there compared to a time-tested V8.
There is a whole other thread going on about the new motor and pros and cons and all this same stuff, so I won't derail this thread too much, but lots of chatter about it over there.

Looks good, I like those! Any hyperflash issues? Last I knew, they were plug and play. Also, I thought I had read they had moisture/leaking issues...hopefully I'm wrong! I do like them though, especially for that price!
