I was looking for dedicated winter tires for my first gen when I found the Cooper ATWs. I was very excited when I found them as they had everything I wanted in a winter tire: great sipping, good tread depth, the size I wanted (235/85/R16) all while coming in an actual winter compound AND 10 ply. However, I can't find them available anywhere, so since you guys seem to know plenty about tires I figured I'd see what your recommendations are.

I'm in New England and am planning on driving in anything from snowstorms to slush on my way to and from local mountains and Vermont for powder days, as well as unplowed roads on my way to school since my town (technically a village), doesn't plow consistently. Are there any tires that are as close as possible to the ATWs or would work well for what I am planning on? Thanks so much for the help it's my first post and I'm trying to be clear.

Can't a tire shop.order them in for you or buy online?

I have not asked my local tire shop but it's worth a shot, looking online they're all out of stock except for the odd set of random sizes.
