Usually with clearance issues around the coil its due to caster being set too high. If you have an alignment print out that would great, please post.

Keith C @ DD Ind. is a buddy and helped me out. I ended up getting some MR 701 (BLK) and 29/70r17 Mickeys- Very satisfied with performance and aesthetics (it looks mean and the 8" DD exhaust sound vicious when I want it to.) I have reached out to you for guidance a few times and your help & guidance has been greatly appreciated- I tend to end up connecting with and dealing those who are masters of their craft- be it automotive, firearms, surfboards, blades... you are truly a master of your craft. Thank you! Ok man now Im gonna browse some Hellcats!

Here’s my alignment after getting a BCM and 35/17s. BFG KO2 with Icon Rebounds.

I have Skyjacker 3inch strut lift, been running for a few years now. Toe is still and issue with my alignment and outside tire wear. Will CB steering kit help fix my alignment?

Will these work with Icon 3.0’s? What benefit will they provide? Thanks

It depends on the wheels you have. They require some offset. They helped with my alignment. I have 0.2+ camber now. You also get more travel, and they are much more beefier

Cool thanks. I have no offset on my wheels. 20x10 with 35” tires.

It's one of the easiest steering/suspension mods you can do. Just make sure you try and eyeball the total length so you can drive to an alignment shop after.

Each version varies slightly but all are very simple to install. install guide covers install adjustment when aligned and service.

@Coachbuilder1 hello David, I was wondering (with material shortages and other logistic issues we have been experiencing in the vendor world recently) what your possible wait times are for a set of OE replacements? Ordered them Wednesday evening 5/4 and was just curious.

I do realize this is a loaded question these days and completely understand things from your side of it.

    Thank You!

BIG TIME shout out to @Coachbuilder1 for helping me get my steering kit installed!! Tip...even if you think you might not need an alignment because you didn't touch the inner jam nut...DO IT!! I kept mine exactly where it was, and on advice from David, I took it to get it aligned, and sure enough, my ride to the shop was sketchy as hell! The steering was SO loose. Shop got the toe back into David's recommended specs, camber and caster also, and now steering is right as rain. Thanks again David!!

Once these 275/65/R20's (34.1") give up the ghost, going to move to 17" +25 offset Method or Icon wheels, and trying to decide on either 35 x 12.5 or 35 x 10.5. Here's the stance right now with the TRD Fox suspension and the Coachbuilder TRD Pro kit (I LOVE the rake!!):

No, I have factory 20” Limited wheels on it, which is OK when you look at the description on Ekstrom Design’s webpage for the steering kit.

Well I got in on a group buy for this steering kit, and as much as I hate to admit it left it on the shelf in my garage until today when I tried to have it installed. I was pretty surprised that there was a significant clearance issue; the wheels and tires are not even close to fitting once this is installed. I have a 4.5" BDS Lift with 17 inch Icon Rebounds and BFG 315/70 r17 tires.

Pretty disappointing, I had a shop trying to put this on while I was doing some other service work. Now it looks like I'm out the money for the steering kit, the labor for the install, and the install required boring out the knuckles to a bigger hole so not sure how the original setup is going to work out once it is re-installed. Thoughts or suggestions? Just found this out I'm pretty frustrated right now.

Its def close, the flat washer installed under the lower misalignment spacer needs to be installed below the knuckle before the lock washer. this will increase clearance.. not by much but will help. When you have a min liv e me a ring and we'll go over options. David 801.635.4872

Update; I did have a good conversation with David from Ekstrom who answered when I called him. We discussed options to make help make this fit, which include moving that washer, possibly modifying the bolt, or just going to wheel spacers. Kind of seems like some spacers might end up being the answer, which I'm not thrilled about but I would like to reap the benefits of this steering kit. The guy I had doing this install for me has a small shop and only works on Toyota's. He made a video of the install, and even though I was kind of pissed about it NOT fitting (I paid him an hour of labor to put it on and take it back off) ... I told him to go ahead an post it. Free advertising for Coachbuilder and here's a little free advertising for Toyota Maintenance YouTube channel. This guy hooked me up for a timing belt and water pump replacement for about half the cost of what every other shop was quoting. He made a video of that job too. Looks like I need about a half inch more offset to fit the steering kit. Recommendations for wheel spacers?

I have been on the fence about this kit and have asked questions about this on a 3.0 Icon coilover and a secondary shock with 17" rims. I was told it would fit but would need some alignment adjustments. After seeing this picture there is no way this would fit because I would have the same interference with the wheel/tire. I came close several times but it is not very much room in there.

    Thanks for the pic!

David is very responsive & helpful. I had a few conversations with him over the years about his shackles & steering kit, and he took a lot of time with me over the phone to help out.

If you're using the stock spindles, your 17"s are +25mm or less, You're not using Camburg UCA's you'll clear, Even with the 3.0's. The pics above DW707 posted he's running a BDS 4.5" lift. The spindles have the knuckle located higher, Joint has to be installed above the knuckle and its positioned about 2" in towards the truck. The stock spindles install on the underside and are inside the wheel. Hope this helps.

Understood your description about what parts you have and should not have but when you described DW707's install I did not understand how the stock spindle located the knuckle higher and positioned 2" closer to the truck. I believe several pictures are required on the install, this pic looks like a commercial shot with the name being in focus and not necessarily the rest. That pic kind of looks like the arm is mounted below the knuckle but really hard to tell. This bolt is in the opposite direction as the OP's pic but if it was the same then the bolt would be rubbing the tire. I apparently am missing something

I found a better angle and replaced the original pic. Are you using UCA's and or aftermarket spindle?

Nice, You shouldn't have any trouble clearing. We have alignment specs in the lower portion of the steering kit listing in RED. Use those specs.

The 3.0's use a very long coil and will need to keep your caster from exceeding +3.0 degrees

I have 3 inch coilovers. Does it help the vague feel over bumps you get?

Yes, You'll eliminate any bump steer by increasing the travel in the steering but would say most noticeably the dampening in the joints will eliminate that shimmy in the steering wheel.
