I just installed my CN Designs switch panel on my center console and currently only have my ditch lights switch mounted, and two blanks. I have a harness for the rear window switch coming, so that will be mounted there soon.

For the last spot I really want to move the Tow/Haul button down from the stock location. Has anyone done this and is there a harness like the rear window switch somewhere or would I just have to splice some wires in there myself? If anyone has done this mod and has some pics or tips I'd love to hear them. I tried to search but nothing came up for moving the switch, just a bunch of discussion about how it works and beast mode and all that. Plenty of info on relocating the rear window switch though.

Unfortunately I don’t have an answer. But you did give me some good ideas. Following...

Check the build link in my signature.
Don’t know for sure. When I rewired my ‘08 to take the 2010 head unit, I got real good at building/reterminating factory connectors and custom harnesses. It would be a matter of popping the button out and determining the right connectors needed to make an extension.

You might also reach out to the outfit that makes the window switch harness and see if they’d do a custom one for the tow button

The switch positions where the blanks are are cut differently.

What do you mean? Is the Tow/Haul button not the same size as the other pushbutton switches in the truck?
I haven't measured but they all look to be the same size to me.

The switches are the same size, but the mounts are different. There are grooves cut into the slots inside the opening that the switch slides into. Certain switches with the "tabs" have to slide into certain spots. Let me see if I can find a pic for reference.

@OnespeedTRD, See the different groove locations? You would have to match the switch to it for it to fit.

Yeah, the CN Designs panel has those grooves, the switch should fit in there no problem. Edit: I see now there are different groove patterns within that pic. No issue, that part would be easy enough to modify to fit.

I'm more looking for info on wiring. If there is a plug-n-play harness already out there that would be great.
If not I guess I'll just have to cut and splice in new wire to get it over to where I want it.

    Source..?

might be a solution for me. My limited has NO empty switch locations and would like to add light bar and anytime front camera...I need some OEM switch-sized blanks and a way to mount them....

    Thanks!!!

The switch panel is from CN Designs. Just google CN Designs Tundra and it will come up. I dealt with him through Facebook.
The install of the switch panel takes some doing. I had to cut a hole in the card holder, which was no big deal, but you also have to cut away some of the framing underneath the console area to make room for the switch bodies. Its not a big deal, just tedious with a Dremel and a file.

I got a rear window switch harness from Accessorides. I got the 42" harness and ran it under/behind the knee airbag and then down into the center console area and back to the panel. Pretty straightforward move, the harness made it much faster. I put a blank in the old window switch location.

I contacted Accessorides to see about them making a harness for the Tow/Haul switch to put in the third spot. Hopefully I'll hear back from them soon. I have an LED light bar switch in there now as a blank, not hooked up to anything. If they can make a harness that would make the relocation just as easy as the rear window. If not, I guess I'll just pull the switch and cut and splice some wire in there myself.

Having the things I use most right there at your fingertips makes things much more convenient and user friendly.
Plus it looks pretty good there instead of some useless little tray.

Did you ever hear back? I’m really eager to relocate my tow haul and parking sensors next to a window switch where you have it

Never did hear back from Accessorides about the harness. I kinda forgot about it since I've been working on a new project truck.
I suppose I could just pull the switch and splice some new wires into the harness. I may still do that at some point.
