    Hi there
I am looking for something like a bed cap (topper) with a high top roof above the driver's cabin, so I can stand up there like in a camper.
I need it to be installed on the top of bed walls (like a regular topper), not on the bed bottom. To decrease weight and to free up the space in the bed.
It seems like this is not manufactured due to safety reasons of air resistance...
Maybe somebody know where can I buy a cap like that?
I found "Project M" camper from 4 wheel campers, however it is semi-high roof because it's roof is pop up.
Also I found "Master 75 truck body", however it is installed in the bed bottom, not on the bed walls..
My friend tells if I install high roof on the bed walls, the air resistance will throw it away.. maybe that's why all the bed toppers are not above the driver's cabin..

    Are you in the USA?
I think you can get the major makers to build you anything you are willing to pay for Aero be Damned!

I have seen some pretty silly tall ones all over the place myself.

Sounds like you need a custom build, and probably want to look at reinforcing your bed walls/tailgate opening if that's the case. Any reason you can't consider a cargo trailer?

I put a high wedge DCU A.R.E. cap on my 2002 earlier this year, I could stand up in it if I was shorter.

True. Initially I just wanted to build something by myself out of simple bed rack, to cut the costs..

The benefit of having some model which was already manufactured many times is we can find it at junkyard for nothing

Big it seems like it lays down on the bed, not on the walls right?

It sits on the bed sides, the bed is left wide open.
I deleted my tail gate, but they also make doors that work with a tail gate.

I have replaced the clamps with bolts & washers.

I think they can build both.

The only models built to sit in the bed are made as a sealed unit seem to be fiberglass commercial models but by far the majority of shells sit on the bed rails for sure.
