Optimum Tire Protection and Coating leaves a great finish, and lasts a hell of a long time. Only issue is the tire has to be incredibly clean or it will mess up and leave ugly spots that are tough to remove.

Waxaddict Tyre Feeder is probably the longest lasting short of a coating. Not super easy to get, and the sprayer sucks, but is a great option.

Gyeon Quartz Tire Express is easy to get, and leaves the same finish as Waxaddict. It doesn’t last as long, and can be a pain to apply to tires that have raised portions on the sides.

Superior Coverall is easy to get, lasts a good while, and is easy to apply. Leaves a pretty glossy finish if that’s what you want. Also works decently to make faded rims look black again. Just need to buff off the excess as it’s “greasy”.

Griots Black Satin is a great all around product. I’ve been using it regularly since @briarpatch recommended it. Leaves a nice matte finish, not overly glossy, and lasts a good while. Certainly outlasts the other aerosol products I’ve tried.

All in, the Gyeon is my favorite, but it’s a hassle to apply to tires with a lot of raised portions on the sidewall. Since switching to Ridge Grapplers, I’ve migrated to Cover-All and Griots Satin for ease of use. Really just depends on how much shine I want, as Cover-All is much glossier than Griots.

For the California cover all do you buy the gallon? Or aerosol can? A gal is 50 bucks on Amazon.

Cover All hands down. Lasts a long time as it’s not water based, doesn’t fling, spray on and no wiping needed

Check your local O’Reilly. Some of them have the gallons, and I paid around thirty bucks for one.

One caveat though: If you buy the gallon and put it in a spray bottle, run some water through the sprayer afterwards. I had multiple sprayers gum up and stop working after using them for Cover-All. Not sure why I had this issue in a spray bottle, but not an aerosol can, but it is an issue I had.

I had bought it in the store for $10(aerosol) and $30(gallon). you usually have to ask for the gallon since they don't keep it on the shelf, but in the back.

I've had great success with the Griot's product.

Whichever product you use don't over apply and give it a final wipe down with a microfiber towel. Also, don't drive your truck right away, give the product about 15-20 minutes to dry to reduce or eliminate sling.

I followed War Machine’s recommendation on the Griots Black Satin product and am very happy with the clean but not glossy finish on my white truck. It was a nice compliment for my very clean and shiny alloy wheels. Best part was no sling. I did follow direction by cleaning the tires well and getting them dry before the application. The product went on smooth and even and by using a special pad, I didn’t get it all over the edge of the wheels. Upping my game one little piece at the time.

Gotta give @briarpatch the credit for that one. He’s the one who recommended it to me.

Well ok then. A “Tip O’the Hat” to briarpatch. I’m gonna give credit three times then claim it as my own. That’s the way we roll in the old hood.
