Longtime Ford F150 / F250 and Ram 1500/2500 owner here with my first Toyota, a 2021 Tundra Ltd, Crewmax Cement TRD. Sold my last Ecoboost after over 40 days in the shop the last year and a need for something more reliable.

The truck has 380 miles as of today, and so far my only complaints are the mileage (worse than expected at 13.7 freeway at 70mph) and unloaded ride quality (much more choppy/bouncy on the freeway than even my last F250 and Ram 2500).

Only mods so far are 35% ceramic tint on the front windows, VLeds inside and out (cargo and reverse), FRAC harness/camera and ESP underseat storage.

I've been reading here for months on mods, but finally 'joined' today.

Welcome from the northern Wasatch Front. Any pics?

Also, my MPG averages about 16 combined. May just be breaking in. Or you have a lead foot like the rest of Utah;) :burnrubber:

I've been driving with an EASY right foot, and even inflated the tires to 38 which hasn't helped the ride quality. Averaging around 14 on the freeway at 70mph and 13.7 mixed. Hopefully it's just breaking in!

Here is a photo upon pickup from the dealer. It's a loaded Limited with spray in bedliner, Predator side steps, TRD, sunroof, etc.

Welcome from Winston Salem NC. Just based on what I get on the highway which is usually 15-18 mpg, it seems like your mileage will pick up a bit.

Welcome from the wet side of WA.

I had the TRD offroad Bilsteins on my 2008 and found they were a bit stiff...but also was too cheap to ever change them. There are plenty of aftermarket options out there that can give you a little lift/level and soften things up a bit.

Welcome fellow Utahn. It took me a year to fix the bouncy bed problem. I switched to the TRD Pro shocks (the Bilsteins are way to hard) and the deaver overload helper spring replacement. Deaver also recommended only torquing the rear shackles to 90 ft/lbs and red lock-tite. I think that made the biggest difference.

    https://deaverspring.com/product/ta...years-3-leaf-overload-replacement-1-1-2-lift/

If I could do it over, I would just get this spring instead because I think the added anti friction pads would help especially in the winter.
