I don't think it matters, should be the same 2WD or 4WD. This ebay listing shows compatibility for all 2000-2006 Tundra's. The sellers web page has a PDF of the install instructions here.

I’m still pissed with myself that I didn’t buy these on Amazon last year when they were $89 shipped

That's a really good price. I haven't purchased these yet, hoping for a Black Friday deal somewhere.

I think I have pretty much decided to go with the 6112/5160 combo. I will probably run these on 7 and 5 for what billstien says is 1.6" of lift on the double cab. I have read that I can go either way on upper control arms at this height but that it would improve the ride if I do stick a set of camburg or spc on there. Any thoughts on that?
    https://productdeskapi.cart.bilsteinus.com/media/products/bilstein/E4-WM5-Y509A00_1.pdf

I have never done anything with leaf springs. What options do I have for adding 1-1.5" in the back without loosing the overload?

General Springs and there is another company I cannot remember. Both have HD Springs that accommodate 500 extra pounds and provide about 1.5” of rear lift.

I'm running that setup....get UCA or you may not be able to get alignment to a spec that prevents wandering. If you use stock numbers for alignment with that lift, it will likely wander...it did for me. Mine settled down with caster at 2.5

x2 on getting uppers to achieve alignment. I have SPC / prefer them over uniballs, but nearly all aftermarket uppers are a good choice.

For extra rear lift, icon and toytec provide a "3-pack" add a leaf if you don't want to go full spring pack replacement. The 3-pack allows you to achieve ~1.5" lift while keeping overload in (that's what I have).

What do these spring do to the ride with only a 200# topper? I may end up with airbags and cradles to manage a big load of firewood. If I did that I could ditch the overload I think. Most of my towing is done with a weight distribution setup so the weight balances out pretty good to all 4 corners.

Alright I will plan on upper control arms. Is there anything else out there other than spc and camburg? out of those which will last the longest with the least amount of maintenance?

I'll agree with this entirely. The 3 pack is just what suits my needs / budget, but by all means isn't a solution for all. I'll echo the same word of caution for UCAs, as that debate will never end. SPC, Camburg, Icon, JBA, Total Chaos, Solo Motorsports. There's a ton.

Unsure as I still have OEM Springs. Others have reported the HD Springs are very nice. Maybe they will chime in.

I think on the 3 pack the unknown comes from the condition the stock springs. These trucks are 15+ years old. If going that route I would look for a heavy duty version and consider leaving the overload leaf in.

For upper arms just don't go with an unknown company. Most people don't need TC or Camburg, SPC are fine and some new reports of JBA sound good too. I have been happy with Camburg arms since 2011 but back then they were the cheapest option. You guys these days are damn spoiled getting cheaper alternatives :santa:

If it were me I'd do new leaf packs and an AAL all at the same time and leave the overload. You may end up at 2+ for a little while but after it settles I'd think it would be pretty good.

This is exactly what I did. I don't know if icon's 3 pack is considered heavy duty, but I threw the overload back in to get a little bit of lift back after driving around w/o for a few months. Has held up for multiple years now. That said, I certainly pursued the cheaper route for my needs.

My last tundra I had a heavy fiberglass topper and usually some junk in the bed. I did the deaver 3 leaf AAL with the overload left in, but it was still too soft and eventually I replaced the leaf pack with the ATS heavy duty version. With those leaf springs, my rear hub to fender was 23 and it rode great loaded and unloaded.

For the UCA, low maintenance and reasonable cost, I think it's hard to beat the JBA option right now. Eibach sells the SPC UCA under their name and it tends to run a bit cheaper, but it's the SPC arms and upgraded greaseable ball joints. I got mine for $500.

I think I would rather have springs that were a bit to soft and add airbags for big loads down the road. Do you think the aal would work in that situation? SPCs, 6112s and 5160s are on order from the local shop and expected mid to late december. I will probably have them assemble the fronts and and I will bring them home to put on.

I thought he wanted to keep the overload spring?

I don’t know how I allow myself to get sucked into these suspension threads. :annoyed:

So my heat has decided it wants to cut out while stopped at a red light. Still blows air out the vents just cold. Picks up once you start accelerating.

truck is a little low on coolant. Ordered a new radiator cap also. Run by Toyota dealer tomorrow

might toss a thermostat in for laughs. Any benefit to the under dog racing 170 thermostat?
