Hey! Fairly new Tundra owner, so apologize for the newb question.

In the picture I attached to this post, is the black thing on the roof that I circled in red the radio antenna?

Picture is a 2010 model year

Sure someone will know for sure but usually something like that would be a satellite radio antenna.

Check the build link in my signature.
Pretty sure that's the XM antenna...might also have the GPS antenna in it.

EDIT - GPS antenna was located in the middle of the dash now that I think about it.

In all of Toyota's stock pictures, they never actually have the FM/AM antenna installed. It is located at the tip of this arrow:

For 2021 (maybe also 2020?) it isn't there anymore. Now there's a black shark fin above the third brake light.

Cool. Thanks post 3! I guess XM antenna would have been my second guess.

So I need to buy this piece/antenna that mounts to the roof. If anyone has one for sale let me know.

Probably an obscure item to find used, but figured I’d ask.

I can’t post in the WTB section since I don’t yet have 50 posts on the site.

Yes that is the satellite antenna. The radio antenna is on the fender on the 2nd gens.

    Bumpity.

Still looking for a used satellite radio antenna (just the external plastic antenna, don’t need the wiring harness).

    Anybody?

If not, I’ll break down and buy a new one :(
