Just put 285 BF Goodrich tires on them even though it came with Michelin 275's...I think I can go 295 or even 305's by looking at the size of the wheel space...
I have a new 2020 Tundra TRD and I was wondering if anyone knows what is one of the best bed covers without breaking the bank?
    thx
    Danny

Welcome from the wet side of WA.

My only personal experience has been the Truck Covers USA American Roll Cover (retractable). Bombproof cover if that is the functionality you’re looking for, but retractable covers don’t fall into the “won’t break the bank” criteria typically.

The best really depends on what you're wanting the cover to do.

Soft/fabric manual roll up covers - cheapest option, anywhere from $150 - $700 depending on brand and quality/features. Can't really put anything on it other than light things like a MTB helmet or small items, no loads. Rolls up tight to the front of the bed for max cargo space. Easy to break into, just a slash with a knife and you're in. I don't keep anything of value back there so no big deal. Mine is the Truxedo Pro X15, very low profile, heavy duty canvas instead of vinyl, relatively watertight for a soft cover, ~$500ish.

Hard or soft tri-fold type - more rigid surface that you can put a gear bag or something on if needed, but not for loading gear on. Block rear window when folded up if you needed to haul something. Little more secure as far as someone trying to get into your bed. Similar water resistance as the roll up type. Price range is all over the place depending on brand.

Retractable hard-top type - super convenient for opening/closing, rigid surface that can be used to set light stuff on, but not for loading stuff on it. Slightly more secure than the tri-fold type. Take up a little space in the front of the bed but not a big deal if you run it primarily closed and don't need to haul large items often. Pretty pricy for a decent one, $1000 +.

Solid hard top - fiberglass/paint matched - secure and solid, but you wouldn't want to load anything on it or set anything on it since its painted. Mostly for looks and security inside. Pretty pricy.

Solid hard top - steel (Diamondback Brand or similar) - Very solid, waterproof, secure, can load an ATV or heavy items on top of it. Heavier than other options but not crazy. Even pricier, but worth it if you need a cover with load capacity and security. If you need to haul something tall in the bed there's no real way to get it out of the way other than just removing it.

Camper shell - priciest option of them all, and all sorts of features and shapes.

I bought a Diamondback diamond plate cover when my 2014 Tundra is new. Pricey but worth every penny. Keeps bad guys out. You can even park two quads on top. It's my favorite feature on my truck. I think they are out of Pennsylvania.

I purchased my truck used and it already had a Truxedo LoPro bed cover. It is a roll up cover and I have been super pleased with it. Easy to use and best of all- no leaking or any water in the bed. Cost for those are on the lower end, I think around $400.

OnespeedTRD listed some good points on the different types of covers.

Do you have a picture on the set up? Which Retrax do you have, Pro or One?
I am trying to decide what to do in replacing my tri-fold extrang to something that will work with the racks for bicycle or something else.
    Thank you

Where are you located? I just traded my Tundra for a dually. I still have the Diamondback. I can't use it on my new truck

I have the Undercover SE on mine. I like the over the rail covers....less chance of leaks.
