I was originally planning to get a "4th Gen Tundra" but looks like Toyota keeps dragging its feet maybe they have other priorities. Well I was tired of waiting and when my son who works at the local Toyota dealership said someone traded a RCSB 2WD with the 5.7L and 134,000 miles on it I was interested.

Here it is at the dealer

    NSbw85Bp0jbg5tMIlWJ-xFQ1QVJtk2duN4ljBAmn_90d7888d7e54cacd27cffbb5d909d48337a02976.jpg

My son and his technician friends at work went over the truck and said it was in good shape except for the reg maintenance items and the Bed rust issue. The dealership offered employee pricing and I think I got a good deal. I like the truck so that is all that matter, the truck was traded in on Wednesday and I got it in my Driveway on Friday, did not want to take the chance.

I plan on documenting the maintenance, modifications and repairs I do on this truck so it can be of some help to member of this Forum.

Looks like the old owner lost interest and did not do the 120K maintenance. So as soon as the OEM parts I ordered came I did the following.
    1. New Drive Belt.
    2. Replaced spark plugs.
    3. Water pump seal leak so replaced the Water Pump along with a coolant flush.
    4. Replaced the Thermostat.
    5. Had a noisy Blower Fan so replaced that.
    6. Oil changed.
    7. Front and rear rotors surfaced and new pads replaced.
    8. Alignment done.
    9. Window trim was old and started falling apart, went ahead and replaced both window trim.
    10. Antenna Base dry rotted and was replaced.
    11. Wheels rotated and Balanced.
    12. Wiper replaced.
    13. Air filter and Cabin filter replaced.
    14. New Battery.
My son did a compression test on the cylinders and he said it was perfect for a 12 year old vehicle, every cylinder was between 198 to 200

I have a E90 BMW so I am OCD about maintenance. Those who owned a BMW will appreciate a Toyota.

The Audio in my Truck sucks, so I went ahead and opted to replace all the stock speakers with replacements from James @tech12volts. Placed my Order for stock speaker replacements.

    Hertz K170 C
Sail panels for the Hertz tweeters
JL C1 for side dash speakers
JL C1 speakers for the center Channel

Will be adding Sound absorption mats while the door cards are off during install. Still deciding what to buy.

If the sound system still does not improve I will have to replace the stock head unit, its outdated anyway. Maybe even add a Amplifier like Kappa Five and Sub woofer like Infinity Reference shallow 12" later depending on my stock speaker replacement strategy turns out.

@purplenova I am thinking of adding this subwoofer/Amp Combo Kenwood KSC-SW11 to my Stock HU as suggested by @Rex Kramer Still deciding though...

I will be stripping down the interior to add the Dynamat or equivalent, waiting to finish work on my BMW E90 first. Hopefully the weather starts warming up soon in Kentucky.

Now that my BMW E90 has been restored, time for updates to my Fav Truck...

Washed the winter nastiness away and polished the truck ready for its first Mod of the season and Year.

Black Stainless Billet Grill overlay added. May change my mind after finding suitable aftermarket headlights. It was not that expensive so I decided to give it a try.

Nice truck! Im also on the black on black wagon and I love it. You have a very clean looking truck there. That cab size is becoming a rarity I’m sure it’ll become way more valuable as time passes

My kid found a TRD intake, it's going to the dealer to get put in tomorrow. Will keep you informed if it's just ornamental or is actually functional.TRD Intake.jpg

It looks pretty, I don't notice any difference in performance, but my kids say it revs better. There is an induction noise when spooling up. It cost me 250 if I had to do it again I would buy the rear sway bar instead.
