4WD disengaging? Sounds like slight axle bind unwinding. Pretty tight surface for 4WD.

Back in old days, you definitely knew when you were in 4WD (manual shifting transfer case, manual locking hubs). These days it's all about electric convenience. (A button?...On the dash? o_O)

The switch says it's in 2WD, but is it? I would look for a lazy actuator hanging up after years of hard work. Bwdik, there's probably a half-dozen reasons why that doesn't make sense, and never does happen in real life. :D

Best way to check it is to pull the rear driveshaft and check for binding.

Sounds like coming from the front not rear. But I will look into this as an option thanks

Weird doesn’t show error anymore on my side. Seems like a few people are still able to view videos. Thanks anyways

Just a little update took it in to Toyota because I still have the extended warranty. They are saying that the front brakes are missing shims? The front brakes were last changed a few years ago and the noise only started last week. Not sure if this would cause that noise but according to dealer it’s that issue.

my response would be, by all means install the shims if it doesn't resolve the issue I am not paying....

If you think the noise is from the brake area have someone stand outside next to the wheel and recreate the noise. Should be able to hear it at the wheel. Loose caliper bolts could also cause the noise.
