Holy crap I'm in love. I was lucky enough to find one with 7K miles selling locally. I can't seem to find this vehicle used anywhere.

One thing that I might need to do is get rid of the head unit. I've been trying to read up on it since I know nothing about modifying vehicles but it doesn't seem like many are available for the 2019. Are all head units that are compatible with the 2018 compatible with the 2019?

Does anyone have a recommendation? I'm liking the size of the Dasaita 10" display but again, not sure of the compatibility.

Also, does anyone recommend any mods I should be considering? I do prefer a smoother ride... probably shouldn’t have gotten the TRD version but oh well.

EDIT: I just figured out how to put in a picture in here.

Congrats on the new ride. Pics would be awesome. What are the reasons for a head unit swap? What features are you wanting? There are a ton of threads on this forum for a head units for tundras here so would imagine someone will chime in to help with the sequoia. I will say what many probably will check out James @tech12volt he can most likely help you out.

I don't know if anyone can explain to me but would all 2018 Sequoia parts fit and work for the 2019? I can't find much info on the 2019s.

Welcome! Love that front end and the lights! Any pics of the interior? As far as head units, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding compatible units that you like. Just takes $$.

Small world indeed. Perhaps I’ll see your rig driving around the city or at Costco.

Welcome aboard from a fellow Sequoia owner. Yours looks awesome! Actually own two of them myself. Check out the Sequoia page on the site. A lot of great info.

    https://www.tundras.com/forums/sequoia-builds.57/

You pointed out, in my opinion, the only problem with the Sequoia - the stereo system is garbage. That head unit especially. @Beau put a pretty nice one in his:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/2008-sequoia-platinum-build-tundra-friendly-mods.58164/

I hate to “guarantee” anything, but I own both a 2012 Limited and a 2019 Platinum. There is barely any difference in them, as they haven’t updated them since 2007. Aside from the headlights, I’m pretty positive any part from any of them is interchangeable. I’m pretty confident what he did on his 2008 Sequoia will work in yours. The head units in both of mine are pretty much identical.

Yes, the only real change is the instrument cluster

We have a 2019 trd sport also. Been looking into this idea. Our last sequoia, 2012, had a pioneer dvd/nav unit. My wife misses it. I'm afraid of losing the info screen in the cluster, some tundra owners lost this after a radio swap

Upgrading the radio is the best option for louder, clearer sound

Very nice looking truck, I think all you need is the Magnuson Supercharger. That should help.

The information screen on the gauge cluster, it was just blank.

I got the cable from ebay, that I had in my other tundra. It allows you to hook up a video source to the stock head unit with rca cables

Do you know what this cable is called or what your searches for to find it?

I got it off of ebay, no cutting, you unplug 1 harness on your radio, and this plugs in between the radio and harness. Then the a/v logo comes on your radio. Had it on my 2016 tundra also.

Look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/333649244995

Jut pointing this out as another small difference in the 2018 model Sequoia...

Just swapped out the fog lights on our 2018 Platinum with the 2020 TRD Pro Rigid fogs. The 2020 TRD Pro Rigid fogs are plug and play with the 2018 and up. The wiring harness on the 2017 and below is different for some reason.
