So here is a photography related question: I'm trying to print and the brilliant turquoise waters of Emerald Lake in Yoho is coming out very nice but very incorrect cobol blue. For the life of me I can't seem to get the damn thing to come out properly. The other colours are fine. It just refuses to print out the correct colour in the water.

Now, I'm printing from photoshop with an epson r1900 printer, set to "photoshop manages colour" and I've tried all the types of colour, perceptual... etc. I'm using Adobe RGB colour space in 10bit. I'm using Epson paper with the proper icc's installed.

WTF can I do for this? Hopefully someone has had the same problem and actually fixed it. This is really, really pissing me off. I've even tried to go into the lesser colour gamuts like cmyk none of which work either.

wish i could help you with this one. the only time i print for myself is in a darkroom. everything else gets sent to a lab. i'm sure at some point i'll start printing more at home.

i'm assuming your monitor is calibrated and that profile is tied to your printer?

Yes, all calibrated. And again, it just seems to be the turquoise water which is the issue. The rest of the colours aren't perfect (and my printer seems to print darker even with the brightness on the monitor is set and calibrated) but they are near enough. It's frustrating. You don't do photography and print make prints to get bad colour...

Thanks for you input regardless. And maybe someone else has run across this issue?
