    Too much.

‘21 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock. I paid MSRP, which was $54,645, and it was the best price I’d been quoted in a week by at least $5k (some wanted sa much as $15k over). It had no add-ons or dealer accessories. And the dealer was more than fair with the trade-in value on my 2008. When you figure in the taxes that I saved by going the trade-in route, it was comparable to what I would have gotten selling the ‘08 private party...and I didn’t have to do any work to sell it.

So, it was a lot of $$$, but I got the exact truck I wanted and for a price I can live with myself for paying.

In all honesty, it was probably the most stress-free and pleasant car-buying experience I have ever had.

but i love the tundra i had never any trouble with it, and its fast with the tow haul thing on

At the dealership they only had 1 crewmax. The one I purchased was 200 miles away. Said it was because of covid and now the production was picking up

$34k (plus tax) for my 2017 Crew Max SR5 TRD Off Road with tow package and 24,600 miles. Hopefully that’s a decent deal because the dealer I went to left a lot to be desired.

So just had a very wird experience with alamo Toyota in san antonio, tx. Im in Dallas, TX and found this army green crewmax TRD sport in alamo toyota san antonio tx. So i contacted about price and they quoted me very aggressively. Mspr was $49k and the guy "caleb lee" at dealership sent me quite for $41,196+ttl. I requested to quote me OTD before any toyota incentive so he quoted me otd $46,090. After negotiating he agreed at $46,800. So i decided ok i will drive down there tomorrow and pick it up, just to be on safe side i demanded he send me purchase prder so i dnt have to deal with any bs like dealer fee on top or any aurprises since its a 4hr and 30 min drive there. First he said he will text me as firm i insisted him to send me PO he said we never do that, i asked him then how do u do online buying since all dealerships offer online buying no contact purchase stuff. So he finally said ok i will send u the PO. After abt 30 mins he sent me text saying they increased price to $43,995+ttl because it is trd and they are very few and sent me PO for $47,159.53. I said i will rather do my business with someone who will stick to their words thanks for your time. Be careful if you deal with Alamo Toyota in San Antonio, TX because they playing games.

My 2021 SR5 with the trail package, sticker was 47,5. . . The toyota dealership here, as great as they are, don't negotiate a ton. Seems most toyota dealers are that way. They only came off about 2500. . .BUT they gave me almost 37 for my 2019 XP tundra.. . .kinda hurts after buying domestics all these years and they'll knock 8 to 9 Grand off any day of the week. . But I feel I get a better truck !

There seems to be A TON of this going around currently. I've had this same experience with 3 RAM dealers, and with my first Toyota dealership today. Cars just aren't selling right now because there's just no inventory...may be just a ploy to get customers in the door to bait and switch. Shame.

You are right. Thats why i wanted to be sure about price before i made my trip. I have already put down $500 deposit for special order truck back on oct 13 bit just wanted to get my hands on one earlier at cost of losing $500 deposit. I will have truck i want at $46,900 OTD before incentive but i dnt have the build date yet.

Traded in an '08 Taco. They offered the minimum, and acceptable trade, I'd accept on the Tacoma. $24k offer for a 2016 SR5 DC. This was back in May. Salesman didn't respond to my offer. 3 weeks after, I emailed the sales manager. Offer accepted the next day. The Tundra came with "war" wounds, but I soon discovered hidden gems. Still look around my area, and I stole that thing. 48k on the clock when I bought it. Was oiled, greased, and seems to be properly maintained mechanically. Had exactly what I was looking for, minus the paint damage. I probably would have upped my offer to $26k if they didn't budge. In the months after, I could have probably sold it for a 2-4k profit if I wanted. I'm in love now though.

    My First Tundra-

    When: October 2020
    Where: Autonation - Tempe AZ
Purchased:new 2020 White Tundra DC TRD OR 4x4

Port/Distributor installed options on main sticker: TRD Skid Plate, Trd Dual Exhaust, spray in bed liner, AW floor mats.

    Total MSRP & Deliv Charge : $47,652

    Dealer discount $3000
    Factory Rebate $2500

    price of vehicle $42,152 + TTL & $500 doc!

They got me on the doc/mafia fee, but I told them to remove the $500 dealer add window tint. I don’t pay for sleezy dealer add ons.
$500 doc was already enough. I let them get that. I got the free tint which was actually done well.

I probably could have done better, but this was a strait up purchase, no trade to fudge numbers. 2020s were selling fast/almost gone and I wanted that rebate.
Plus I wanted that truck. Lol

    Financed small amount...
I had to fight them a little for 2.9% @60 through credit union, but they got it done.
I’m A-Paper credit and they couldn’t do lower than 4.5% through Toyota Financial. I tried.
they said Toyota is being brutal right now and can’t compete w credit unions.

In AZ the rebate was 1.9% financing or $2500
    Rebate

I did not purchase anything else w vehicle.
    No warranties, Rusty Jones, etc.

Looking to finally sell the 'Grey Goose' (2015 DC TRD off road). I took the advice of a few folks on here and went with Costco. I am looking at the 2021 Limited ($46k), TRD 4x4 ($44.5k) and the TSS 4x4 ($44.8k).

It was a pleasure dealing with the Costco representative at the dealership. Everything was open and out front. Now, to decide on the color and package. I am swaying at the TRD 4x4, but the other half is pushing me to the Limited in the Calvary Blue. I think she really likes the color. But, I am not feeling the push button start. I will be picking up whichever model on Monday afternoon. After saying goodbye, the sale rep approached me and said "you know what, I screwed up and it is my fault...tell you what....you select a vehicle in our inventory and I will knock another $500 off as my apology." I was like wow....He failed to reply to my email after Costco notified him.

He also informed me that I get an additional percentage off on accessories up to $400 as a Costco member, so decide if I want to add anything. I told him only a console safe and he said that you will have to forget about that because all of the trucks I am looking at have the safe included.

    Decisions, decisions!

Note: the members on here who informed me on the options to sell my truck....a huge thank you! I was surprised by the offers that I received from Carvana and Vroom after dealing with another dealership who said "we'll buy your car." Thank you!

I got my 2020 trd sport in August for 42,500 while they had the 2500 rebate offer. Think I got a killer deal, I’m seeing a lot of used models of my truck going for same if not more. Only thing I later realized was my truck didn’t come with the front and rear sensors, or blind spot notification.

Wow! Great deal. You can’t help but think of the equity you automatically have in your truck after getting it at that price. Especially when you see what people are paying for tundras used.
