Check the build link in my signature.
Someone else on here mentioned it already, but I’ll add some pictures:
Get a P80 and then Gucci the f*ck out of it. Glock is to pistols what the AR is to long guns - once you’ve got the frame, your only limits are your imagination and your budget. I was never a fan of “true” Glocks - the grip angle just didn’t feel right to me. But the P80 gives you back the grip angle of a 1911 and all the customization options of a Glock. This one is the PF940Cv1 in gray.

Of course, don’t discredit the Sig P320. The “gun” is the serialized internal frame with the slide rails and all the fire control parts (trigger, sear, etc.) and EVERYTHING else is modular. The after-market options for these is growing fast now too, as evident in this build (the only thing factory is the internal parts in the FCU...).

If your looking for a 19 to customize, 23s are usually easier to find since 40s are less desirable and the frame is the same. There are conversion barrels available in whatever flavor you want. Also if anyone in central California is looking for a 23 I’ll give someone a tundra forum discount. Already comes with a lone wolf or storm lake (can’t remember now) and ported barrel and night sights.

What do you think of it so far? I was able to get a Glock 43 yesterday new for right around $370, so I couldn't pass it up. It'd be nice to have >6 rds (OEM), but I can get an aftermarket mag or two for that. Next might be a P365 or G43x.

I wasn’t a fan of the trigger right out of the box. It’s definitely shootable now with the trigger work. In fairness though I’m a 1911 fan through and through. The 43 replaced a sig 938. I do like how easily concealable it is. I mainly got it to try it. I’ll keep it but I’m not sure how long it’ll pull carry duties. I’ve been looking at the sig 365’d pretty hard

Go handle a 365 for a while before you decide to get one. Lots of people like the gun but says it feels weird because of how thing the grip is, especially those with larger hands.

Don’t get aftermarket mags, just buy Glock mags and replace the floor plates with a +2 extension. I had Hyve plates on mine and they worked great.

    Lots of shenanigans.
I run many different aftermarket mags. For my G19 Gen 4, I learned that it doesn't like KCI mags. It just has a difficult time releasing the mag but I've never had a failure to feed. Glock mags and base plates are overpriced, in my opinion. They also print more if you plan on using it for an EDC.

I run the +2 Hyve plates on my 43 as well. They are great!

The problem you have is that no one really makes a decent mag for the 43 besides Glock. ETS mags are garbage and KCI is so hit and miss that’s it’s not worth the headache. I would suggest magpul mags but they don’t make a mag for the 43. So you are pretty much stuck with the Glock factory mags. $30 is pretty cheap when my life might depend on it.

I've got a Hyve +2 and I get feeding issues on the last couple rounds occasionally. I really want to like it but I can't trust it for carry. :(

That sucks, I would contact Hyve. I've got it on 3 mags and I've put thousands of rounds through them and never had a problem.

So I found out the other day that I (veteran, but not disabled/retired/active) could get in on the Glock Blue Label program. ALSO found out it was for the 'household' - not just me.

Wife said "Oh REALLY...." and we left the local gun shop/range with this for her yesterday. She LOVES it. Glock 19X, comes with 3 magazines, cleaning kit, lock. I'll likely buy one myself in a few weeks.
