does the weight of the bumper and winch enough to dip the height on front end?

Finally arriving on Wednesday. It was originally ordered in Nov; extra delay cause lots of Black Friday sales; changed my mind on the "no access holes" in March and modified order to have access holes. (I was originally gonna get a Warn Zeon 12k winch w/ remote, but after stewing on it for a long time, I couldn't justify that ridiculous price tag of $2k. Waaay overpriced. Went with a Smittybilt XRC Gen3 12k for $665.) Changing to having access holes started the bumper process all over, which is fine. Then COVID hit. Just got email today saying it shipped.

@Weavin Pro How long did the install take you?

    Uhhhh congratulations! Lol
It took me and a buddy about 4-5 hours to install. We weren’t busting ass or anything...just a steady pace. It’s actually a pretty easy, straight forward install, but definitely need 4 hands! Post some pics!

Be careful! I was winding my winch cable in and bowed the bumper a little! I have a Factor 55 flat hook and hit the IN button a little extra and could actually see the bumper metal bend in...I quickly hit the OUT button and it popped right out...just be careful!

Yeah I noticed there was a chance that could happen. Gotta be careful!

Mine is on. I still have a little more work to do. All together, it took me about a full 24 hours or so. Three different days. (Everything tends to take me a while though. I'm meticulous, go kinda slow.) I initially got it all installed in one day (bout 8 or 9 hours...told ya I'm slow), but then had severe rubbing issues on bumper ends. I'm running 37s. It would've torn the bumper clean off if I drove it like that. Lol. B/c of the thickness of the SSO steel that went on the frame bolts (same bolts I had bumper shims on), I couldn't fit the bumper shims anymore.

Long story short, the only options I had was to get a different bumper - which wasn't an option - or replace the frame bolts. So I cut out the OEM frame bolts (the three bolts lined up vertically on each side) and put in longer ones. It's all together now w/o rubbing for the most part. Still have slight rubbing at full cut in reverse only (same thing happened when I needed to trim just a hair more off bumper plastic before the SSO install). I have it shimmed out about an inch or so right now using the new 2" bolts. Have to buy 2.5" bolts & install them so I can shim it another 1/2" or so. Then I'll be good.

Sounds like a pain, but I did it solo & it was pretty fun. Pics eventually...

In order to get the shims on, these are the new 3/8, 2.5” long, grade-8 bolts I replaced the OEM frame bolts with. (Cut out old ones with angle grinder.) Three on each side. My shims comprised of leftover OEM frame nuts (the galvanized ones in pic) that fit over the new 3/8 bolts nice & loosey-goosey. Then a new grade-8 flange nut over it (shiney zinc-coated in pic), tightened down till you fart.

Finished product below. It still needs some minor adjustments. The passenger side OEM bumper is sitting a little higher than driver side. It’s most pronounced right above the SSO. I’ve taken this thing apart and put it back together so many freaking times that I don’t care one side is sitting higher than the other. I’m sure at some point I’ll have to take it back off for something else, and I will adjust it then.

Re-shimming gave me full clearance again; the only downside was it made the OEM bumper sit out further than the SSO. If you look closely, you can see about a 1 inch gap between OEM and SSO (on both ends of the SSO). Again, I’ve taken it apart and put it back together so many times that I really don’t care anymore. It did bothered me at first, but I’ve accepted it. I’m not getting rid of my 37’s!

Dammit - now I want those tow mirrors too.
I shimmed my stock bumper with spacers I bought to clear my 37's also.
*side* just noticed your tags - where in VA are you? I'm in Chesapeake.

Lol. The tow mirrors are expensive! Well, the power-folding ones are. I think the non-power folding are quite a bit cheaper.
I’m in Ashburn, about a half hour west of DC.

Yea I’m good without the power. Just need the extra view. I lived in Chantilly for a few years and Fairfax. Parents lived outside of Sperryville.

what did you use to mount your license plate? MD requires a front and I haven’t figured out how to mount mine yet.

FYI, if anyone is interested, the Diode Dynamics 30 inch light bar fits the SSO brackets. The light bar sticks out of the cutout a tad, but it’s secure in there

Late response...but I have had zero issues with the TSS sensors. Everything works as it should.
Also, I have the Smittybilt X20 wireless winch, have used it a dozen times, works perfectly!

Just ordered my SSO slimline for my Tundra. Im sure I'll be on a waiting list but is there anything I need to plan for before I get it? 1 Question is I see you guys have a rubber edge around the bumper where you cut out the plastic bumper. Does that come with the SSO bumper?
