Just moved three weeks ago in the Maritime. I one of my PEI friends suggested to have the truck sprayed with undercoating be for the snow really falls.

Does it really help. Do I need to remove/protect suspension, skid plate, nuts and bolts?

    TIA!

If you use it regularly before rust starts it will definitely help in the long run. Spray (woolwax or fluid film) before winter and after winter IMO. My buddy has a 16 Tundra an has always had it sprayed from new. His undercarrage is notably cleaner (of rust) then mine. Basically he has none to speak of. Mine wasn't bad when I bought my truck (17) but his is noticably better all around.. If you want to have it a long time an it's going to be exposed to salt it's a solid investment.

    Thanks for all the input!

I'll find out what they offer here on the island.

Krown the sucker, my dad had a '89 Accord that we had when we lived in Montreal, not a spec of a rust when he sold that thing back in 99, just regular rinsing and annual re-coating.

The right treatment can really prolong a vehicle’s life. Rustcheck and Krown have done well by us over the years.

I finally got setup to spray our own vehicles last fall. Tundra got 2 coats of Rustcheck. :)

Oil spray helps greatly. Well worth the money if you don't like seeing a rust.
