I have a typical rollup tonneau cover and love it!

There are only two issues I have with this design:
    1. The top stretches a bit and you have to adjust the tension after a few weeks/months (minor issue)
    2. The clamps near the rear come loose because I put a good amount of force on the top when I close it (more of a nuisance than #1)
Has anyone dealt with this and figured out a way to keep the clamps from coming loose over time?

It may help if you list the brand and model. I have a LoPro, never had any of those issues. I would think that you could put some loctite on the clamps (if they are some type of screw on) to solve #2.

It's the Gator ETX Soft Rollup Tonneau. They use the typical clamps and design of Truxedo and others. It could be that the clamps are a lesser quality design or something. I'll post a pic.

This is interesting. I have the truxedo and the spring tension supposedly is auto adjusting. I have had one of the clasps pop when driving for long periods on the freeway but never both and I only noticed when accessing the bed. I guess I don’t want to mess with it otherwise. I also haven’t had any of the clamps loosen over time.

edit: I have the bed rails so it clamps totally differently.

Yeah, that's one of the nice features of the Truxedo (auto-adjusting). But I found this one for $90.30 as an Amazon Warehouse deal, so I couldn't pass it up. Overall, I'm very pleased considering what I paid. I'm thinking about doing my own mod by drilling a hole through the two pieces and using my own bolt - in addition to the clamp.

Maybe try some Loctite thread locker on the bolt.
