Ok, Hellwig it is, thank you. One more question, as I said , I have a 2 wheeler and only use it to commute, looking for new shocks all around, any suggestions? I like a smooth ride and I’m not sure KYB or Bilsteins or ?????????

I'm a long time Tacoma owner and I love Bilsteins. Checkout Wheelers Off Road in OR, they're good people to deal with.

I would agree the Bilsteins will the best.

Thank you gentlemen, you have been EXTREMELY informative, I bought this truck new in 07 and have 80K on it. It’s time I put some cash into it. I want to level the front end, certainly I’ll do the Hellwig (lol) and Bilstein shocks, I have 275/50/18 ( the limited comes with those) but I’d like to put something a bit bigger on once the truck is level. Looking at exhaust systems but not so sure BOUT COLD AIR INTAKES, ETC. it’s a street truck, so I want a nice ride. Any thoughts or stories are extremely welcome

Wheelers will treat you right, I'm not affiliated in any way but have always had good luck with them. Save your money on the Cold Air Intake, but that's just my opinion.

Your drainbung will be blown with the Hellwig 7700. Like mentioned above, its adjustable and super heavy duty. Start on the easy setting and work your way up as you see fit with drive time. I settled on the middle setting. Top mod I’ve done for sure.

I'm adding the TRD Rear on my next service as it will be basically Free. There was some time delays on our date of purchase last year and we got a $500 credit, so I'm using that (or I would probably go Helwig).

I'll probably upgrade the front to TRD as well for $250. I figure $250 for front and rear with my truck use, I should see some benefit to on road handling

We don't "offroad", just gravel and dirt roads etc. If we ever get into serious offroading, I'll remov them. 98% of our driving in pavement. The odd fire road or mud field we find, I should be ok with them on.

    1) Bought with 225k miles on it, a Westin bullnose bumper, and OEM tundra steps 2) Current Mileage 238k Mods: 1) Dirty Deeds BA Mufflers 8 inch with resonator (as of Feb 2021) - Had the 10 inch with resonator - Prefer the 10 inch without resonator - deeper sound hear it more in the cab 2.) Ranch Hand Summit Front Bumper/Guard 3) Ranch Hand Summit Bumper 4) Billstein 5100s all around 5) TRD front and rear sway bars 6.) Rough Country wheel to wheel steps 7) Pioneer 8400 NEX Wireless ApplePlay 8) Backup Camera: e-raptor 9) LED white lights replaced in headlights, fog lights, inside cabin, and exterior lights 10) Linex (unbranded by Central Texas Truck Coatings) 11) OEM Toyota side panels and generic panel on tailgate Maintenance/Repairs: 1) Valve covers, belt tensioner, alternator belt - $415 2) Evaporation fuel canister and filter replacment $1547 *This was a Toyota TSB for 07-08 AFAIK. Toyota covered in first 3 years of ownership. Mine failed after 13 years of daily regular driving use. Not bad at all. 3) Pioneer Unit - had to ship to Pioneer to replace Output IC - $45 (shipping) free under 1 year warranty fix 4) Pioneer Unit - Electrical feed back coming through speakers when accelerating. Fix was to check all wiring/tighten up/ make connections good again $42. 5.) Rear passenger door actuator replaced. Part was $287 with tax on ebay from Toyota dealer free shipping. 6.) Rack and Pinion, tow mirrors, shocks install, lifetime alignment - $1884.36
Rex had recommended the hellwig for my 8ft reg cab 1st gen tundra. It made a dramatic difference for that model. Might just be that particular model/gen but without I would literally slide in the rain during turns like I was on a hockey rink. The turning improvement was great and almost no body roll after that.

The hellwig rear sway bar is sick. I was thinking about removing my front sway bar since I have coil overs anyways.

I removed front sway bar when I was in AZ. Now in VA near DC I have front back on and have added rear. Handles city and highway driving well.
