What power is deemed necessary to "upgrade" some of the internals of our transmissions? Level 10 has a lot of good, fair priced goodies for our rigs, but no need to fix anything unless it's broken, right? I tow often, and often tow much more than 12k lbs when doing so...I also plan on draining and filling the transmission every 30k miles due to the use of my truck. When would I consider helping my transmission beyond just interval maintenance practices? More boost or a level 2 pulley?

I'm sorry... I had something crazy on my monitor. You said 1200 pounds, yes? Definitely, or even defiantly, not twelve thousand pounds?

12,000lb if so? walk to any dealership and purchase a 3/4 truck or rent one from enterprise. I dont want you to hurt anyone on the road with an overloaded truck/ trailer. I dont give a rats ass ill be the safety hall monitor today, if you really said 12,000 lbs.

Hahaha, right, I got rid of my Duramax and bought the Tundra...knowing it CAN tow that much, but I suppose when I say often, I mean a few times during the summer months trying move rocks and materials around the farm...I also tow boats and other trailers...regardless, I feel I tow more now than I did when I owned my Duramax...the supercharger makes it doable, though not really comfortably...a lot of the towing takes place on farm roads and not endangering anyone...the truck can do it and does, but I'm worried my transmission might be getting some excessive slop doing this type of towing...though, I'm not "hot-rodding" around like a lot of us may have done when we first got our driver's licenses...

Case in point, what are the general "rules of thumb" for upgrading components of our transmissions? HP limits, Torque limits, driving habits, tires, etc...?
