Hey guys, new to this forum tried searching but couldn't find any info for recommended break-in periods for towing on the 3rd gen Tundras. How long would you guys recommend to wait until starting towing? I bought my truck @ 3,000 miles and it has 10,000 miles now. IIs there nothing to worry about towing around 10,000 miles? P.S. it is only for towing a trailer helping a friend move. Thank you in advance!

    Trying not to mod it
Owner's manual simply states that you shouldn't tow in the first 1,000 miles. You should be good to go.

Check your owners manual. 500 miles before you tow. Your good.

What they said. Anytime after 1000 miles, tow away.

My motto is ....break it in how you drive it. I hooked up my 20 ft bass boat and drove 22 hours to Florida. That was only after 200 miles or so. Kept the cruise at 78 mph.

So you didn't vary your speed to break in the torque converter either?

With hills and traffic its pretty hard to keep it at the same speed and rpms.
