An update on my PC unit. In less then a year of ownership(10months), I started getting a bit of surging in the throttle. There was about a half second delay when really stepping on the pedal, most folks might not notice it, but us OCD folks will! Final last Wednesday the truck went into limp mode after a stop and go at a red light. Just normal driving. Traction Control Off came on the front console along with check engine light. Having read this happen with some folks, I unplug the PC and battery for couple minute. Put battery back on only and drove home fine without PC plug in. Next day reinstall PC to confirm it was the cause of the problem and sure enough after the second start up it did the same limp mode, again after a stop and go. Contact PC customer service and within 30min or so got an response, with couple questions of what happened, in which mode(Sport +), vehicle make/year/engine type, and PC serial number. Gave them what they needed and their response was they'll send me an update via app notification in a few hours(I have the Bluetooth PC). As indicated notification push came in on my phone and did the update. It's now has been two days and the PC is working like it should, although I can feel like the unit and for lack of words, been de-tune. Sport+ not as peppy as before, but the half sec delay is now gone. Overall, I like the PC, having to drive the Tundra back in "normal" mode was a bit underwhelming. On top, I was extremely satisfied about PC customer service. They were quick to reply and throughly knowledgeable. For now I'll keep the unit install and will post any updates if things happen. Hope this help!

I have also experienced a surging but none of the other issues. I noticed it happened if I changed the mode while driving so I just quit doing that. Mines on a 2019 w/Bluetooth

Was told by PC customer service to get off the gas when switching mode. Will caused surging, but I always let off when changing mode. It's electronics, not fail proof, but standing by one's product and good customer service was my biggest concern. They "ace" that so they have my support.

Just ordered one. Cant wait to test it out. Do you still use tow haul with this or just put it to sport. What about sport + tow/haul + no nannies?

Nothing prevents PC from being used with Tow/Haul. PC is just modifying the throttle response curve, so yes you can use them all together.

Friendly advice, I recommend testing City mode first before jumping into the higher settings; it will give you a better feel for what you are getting into. Sport + (any level) and some Sport modes can be very aggressive and super touchy; you'll probably spin tires and leave a giant #eleven on the ground.

Returned my PC. Had it installed for a few weeks, and as time went on I started getting a lot of surging and dead spots when accelerating. Contacted customer service and they were very responsive. They sent me an update via the app but it did not fix the issue, actually made it worse. After the update it would surge on startup, revving to about 1500RPMs and holding there, hot or cold start, all modes. Turned it off and it started up fine. Turned it back on and the revs were back.
Decided it wasn't worth the hassle and potential damage just for the better throttle response. They were very understanding and refunded my purchase as soon as I sent it back, no hassle there.
When it worked, it was nice, and certainly improves the throttle feel, but the surging and especially the dead spots were too concerning to keep it. I'll just mash the pedal harder if I want to go faster.

I have read about people having this issue. It seems most people are happy and don't have problems.I wonder what causes this surging problem?

The sport +4 is similar to Besst mode, no nannies.

Not sure. It does seem to work well for the majority of users, but I guess some vehicles just don't play nice with the program.
What's weird is it worked fine for about a week, mostly just commuting and around town stuff. The second week I went on a short road trip, about 3 hours or so. Then after we got to our destination, driving around there (slow, windy beach roads) it started acting up. I tried to disconnect, reconnect, disconnected the battery for about an hour, still the same. Switched through a few different modes, still there. It would surge on steady throttle, and when accelerating from a stop, like a stop sign, it would go, then there'd be like a dead spot where the truck would fall on its face, then pick up again and go. Started doing it more often and more pronounced as the days went on. I finally disconnected it and called the PC folks.

I would think issues are with the PC unit itself. I would try for an exchange to try at least one more PC unit.
