I installed rims/tires from a 2012 or 2013 Tundra. The tires themselves have the tire pressure sensor. Now I'm getting the blinking light for a minute which means that my truck (2015 Crewmax) is not finding the sensors.

I heard that I may have to reprogram the unit or if they are not compatible I have to get new ones or move the ones from my old tires.

So, are they compatible or not?

    Thanks.

They should just need to be set up for your truck. Take it to the dealership, or check with your local tire shop to see if they can program them for you.

Is there a way to reset it on your own?

I don't think so. There's a button for TPMS but you first need to pair it with your truck first. Any tire place can do it. It's very quick.

Not really unless you have a scan tool.

It cost me $220 at the Toyota dealership in Palm Springs, CA. I switched from steel wheels to alloy and the computer wasn't able to read the new ones. I figured the tire shops near me would be able to do so, but they were unable to pair the new sensors to the computer.

He would still need the original sensors that are programmed to the truck currently. And at that point, if he still has them why does he not just put them in the new rims?

OK I have a happy ending to this misery and it ended up being free. I went to my local TireLand in Chilliwack BC. They tried their best to reset the truck with no luck. The older wheel's sensors were reset but for some reason the could not reset the truck. Just before giving up the 2nd in command fellow decided to try their super expensive Snap On scanner tool instead. The reason he said because in the past that unit was able to do things that other units for some unknown reason failed to do. Well, in the first try the truck was reset and:
