As you probably know, Cali Raised is offering 15% off all products this month, and I've been considering their dual function lightbar with the amber ends to go in my Prinsu wind deflector with the 40" opening. With only 2 reviews on their site for that bar, I wanted to ask all of you what you think of their products, and if you have any other suggestions for a yellow or amber, single row light bar for the 40" opening. Thoughts?

I Personally would get Rigid or Baja Designs if you wanted the best lighting/technology and warranty. but if you're on a budget I'm sure the Cali raised will do just fine, never heard anything bad about their products

If you do some searching, I think their only downfall is rust. Cant recall if it was only bracketry that was affected or if there was an issue with their light coatings as well.

I have their 32" lower lightbar and I'm extremely happy with it. Just ordered their 3x2 fog lights too. Going to install them this week.

I bought caliraised fog light housing brackets. They didn't fit Rigid cube lights. They did fit Amazon China pods. The finish was terrible. They looked like someone had an old grinder wheel to remove all the mill scale then sent straight to powder. You could see all the grinder marks through the powder. I put them in the scrap pile. I have not bought anything else from Cali Raised.

Just wondering what the thousand dollar difference is between Cali and Rigid or Baja. Is it brightness? I don't want anything too bright so I can actually use it on the road without ticking anyone off. Is it housing? Seems they are all aluminum. Baja says theirs is submersible, but I don't plan on driving my truck underwater.

I had a set of Cali raised pods on a Tacoma, and end up with moisture in both about 3 months in

could’ve been a fluke thing, they offer a moisture warranty. I was gonna file a claim and then that truck got totaled which made it a mute point

You can't use any light bars on the road without blinding people. I just put the 42 in curved Caliraised Led bar in the grill 2 weeks ago. So far I like it, nice and bright. They only bad thing is when you turn it off, you can barely see because the headlights are so much dimmer. Don't get any LED bar expecting to be able to use it on the road though.

Huge brightness and quality differences between BD and Cali. No comparison; BD lights are top of the line but I know of none better. Score a Black Friday deal and it’s almost doable.

The only Cali lighting I like is their amber pillar lights... but as follow lights... they’re too dim for anything forward facing, but the colour is much easier to see through dust than the more yellow BD “ambers”.

If you want military spec for less money than BD, look at Black Oak— American made and similar guarantees to BD.

    Lots of shenanigans.
I just ordered some of the side projecting pods, brackets, 8 switch control system, led interior kit, and a few other nick-nacks. Give me a few months and ill let ya know if I just wasted a bunch of money.

I have two 42 inch curved light bars on their duel light bar bracket and their side projecting ditch lights. I’ve had all of it for one year. I have not had or seen any issues at all so far. I live in the south east and am not subjected to a lot of the weather other members have described like a New Jersey winter or anything. The light is very bright and good enough for any human to see what they need to see. Is it better than more expensive designs? I don’t know. But for the price, will it work? Yes. Absolutely. So maybe start with a Cali Raised and in a year or two you can upgrade if you even think you need to. In the end nobody cares what light bar you have on your truck. “Oh you only have Cali Raised or black oak....loser”. Hahaha. There are countless YouTube videos on Amazon brand whatever versus BD or Rigid. It’s almost meant to confuse you. Slick marketing does that to humans.

I'm really looking accent lighting then, I guess. I want to be able to run amber or yellow in the fog and rain. We get plenty of both here in Florida. What options do I have other than standard light bars? I can't really find anything that's not blazing bright.

Diode Dynamics makes a slim line 30 inch amber light bar. And I have seen one that fits in the space where the hood bulge is but I can’t remember who makes it. Anyone remember which one that is? Several forum members have them installed.

If you want cheap and don't care about quality, then there are hundreds of LED cube lights on Amazon for dirt cheap. Hell I have a couple pairs in a spare parts box in my garage. All have faded or missing paint, fogged or cracked lens, and water in them.

The Rigid SAE foglight pods on my truck have been in use since 2014.

...this thread got derailed. sorry. :crapstorm:

I just bought some fog lights from Diode Dynamics that are DOT approved. They are a lot brighter than stock fogs were on my 2016. They come in white or amber.
