Download "Snapseed" if you have an iPhone. You can pick "spots" or portions of a photo you want to lighten. Very powerful app. User friendly once you get the hang of it.

Yeah. We probably had 50-60mph. Lots of downed limbs. We fortunately didn't lose power but some folks did.

Picked up a 2X teleconverter to use with the 600mm manual focus lens I posted elsewhere. Makes the lens 1200mm!

This is no prep and no setup. Walked out my back door and shot. Over the neighbor's lit up house and through the edge of the street light.

    nice thread @bandit
Sub'd so I can go through this later and contribute some.
I have a Canon 7D and Sony a6000 but tend to use the Sony more due to its versatility.

Big lenses are growing like weeds here.
FedEx just brought me the 500mm f/4 AF to go with the 600mm f/4 MF I posted before.

Took a couple shots that I like to always do as our traditional photo once we get our camp site all setup.
Just usually always my legs stretched out while sitting at what I make my favorite spot at camp.

This time I thought I'd include the scene along with the kids.
Here is also what I thought was a cute one of my youngest.

Eastern Sierras. Used my new Canon 16-35mm lens. A little under exposed, but haven't Photoshopped them yet.

One of the things I do for a creative recharge, or just to see things differently, is to street shoot. Sometimes I'll take the big Canon but most times I do this with film. Either an old Canon F1 or my favorite camera of all time, the Hasselblad 500cm. When I'm street shooting, I find the Hassy to be a conversation starter and not off putting. Most people have no idea what it is.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the zoo with my wife and youngest daughter. Our older two have been gone all summer and we were looking for something to do. I grabbed the Hassy and two rolls of HP5. Piper wanted to shoot too so she got the F1 and a random roll of 35mm that I grabbed out of the fridge.

The Hassy is a camera that knows no age. The pictures that come out of it now are just as sharp as they were 40 years ago and as they will be 40 years from now. I need to use it more often.

Thought I'd share a few images.

For the past week, my youngest has been over at the Wings Museum for an aviation/space camp. Super cool and we hadn't really ever been over there even though it's literally 2 minutes from our house. Today being the last day, they let us come over and wander the hanger for a couple of hours for a kind of open house. Reminded me of all the air shows I went to as a kid. The best one being out at El Centro. The Angels did stuff out there that I've never seen anywhere else. Needless to say, I was super stoked to walk in and see a B1 looming over everything...

Then, hiding in the back corner, was this masterpiece.
