I achieved a milestone today. After 20 years of seeing my customers all giddy after I've installed there garage heater I installed my very own. ABFT

Excellent! We use a Reznor at work in our shipping area which can get cold. That Reznor we have heats that area up quite nicely fairly quickly too.

Hell yeah! I just ordered a Reznor 45k and new garage door with a high R value. First time since I bought the house (10 years), I'm actually going to be able to enjoy the garage in winter. Cant wait...I totaly feel your excitement.

@pop's Quick question for you. Whats is the going rate on a pretty simple NG install?

Gas line is within 2ft of the location. Power is already landed. Vented out the gable directly behind it.

I got 2 different quotes, but neither actually broke down the cost of thr machine, labor, install ect.

Just trying to guage what a basic install costs.

@pop's ditto the request for pricing - separating unit cost from install cost. I just got really cold and a warm garage sounds much more appealing now then three months ago.

Congratulations now you're going to have to insulate that ceiling to hold that heat. I've been running a Rezner 60k UDAP for a while now they work great.

    75,000 btu REZNOR - $920
Misc. hardware - 1/2" gas valve, B-vent piping, elect box, switch, cover plate, 4' 1/2" gas whip, t-stat wire, = $250
Mark up on the heater $550
    Labor at $120 per hour = $480
Having all the tools to make it happen = priceless
On the average it's around $2500 for contractor pricing including the heater.:spending:

Would 75,000 btu work for a three car garage?

Installed this morning and running. Wife sent me pics once they were done. 45k BTU for a single car garage. Came in at $1985 with everything. Looking forward to actually being able to use the garage this winter.

Damn, I really want one but the price is too high. It's definitely a big issue trying to enjoy my garage in winter. Thanks for posting this.

Forget the boat, I thought it was convenient to have a fork lift at home.
