How does this work with 2020s and 2021s that don't have a radio antenna on the fender?

After a few months of not having it attached at the pillar, I will definitely be attaching it soon. The tape gave way and there is a noticeable amount of flex in the top of the snorkel.

Fine, I have a 2020 and I don't see the cutout for the antenna at all.

We hit 0F in Montana last week and it was fine. However I'm curious to see how the snow will accumulate on it while driving in a blizzard. I'll try to get some pictures this winter!

Can you install if you have fender flares? Looks pretty close.

So then how do the snorkels work on pre-2020 trucks if there is no antenna cutout?

There is the antenna cutout, you just can't see it unless you're on a ladder or something

Just got mine installed yesterday. Install is somewhat straight forward but my advice would be to go ahead and buy a bunch of the plastic fender liner clips so you can just replace them instead of trying to get them to release in one piece. I also used threaded inserts in the A-pillar mount instead of rivets. And also changed out the snorkel head for a pre-cleaner type from snorkelupgrade.com. I just prefer that look over the traditional heads.
Exit Off-road offered a great deal on them and shipping was fast too. Definitely recommend them if ordering one of these.

I had Bushwacker OE style fenders on my truck and they interfered with the snorkel by about 1/4” - 1/2”. You could easily make them work by trimming the top edge of the fender though.

Really like that head. Looks great. Anyone confirm if these can fit the 4.6?

Nice work, good looking truck. I have an Airflow Snorkel on my Tacoma and ended up using one of these Engineaire precleaners, same principle but a little cheaper than the snorkelupgrade model. I only run it in the winter for snow and keep a knee-high stocking over the supplied intake the rest of the time. Just another option.

Nice! Which model did you order?

I need one of these. I'm in Montana and the snow is already starting to clog the stock Dob intake.

Do any of you snorkelers take your trucks through regular car washes? I usually go touchless, but every now and then I'm hoping to take it to the touch-ful wash place in town to get down and dirty. And yes, I know they are bad for the paint, but I just don't have the time or energy to do a proper wash by hand.

    @100LL

The Dobinson snorkel tube diameter is right around 3.5” so that’s the size I ordered from snorkelupgrade.com . I will say I had to crank the band clamp bolt all the way down to get a solid tight fit. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be but you couldn’t fit any smaller diameter head on it.

Got mine installed a couple weeks ago. I was really nervous but install was a piece of cake. I was also afraid of wind noise but haven't noticed any. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who spends a lot of time in the dust. Now I just need to go find a decent mall...20201108_122326-01.jpg

With your RXT Pack, what Option (1,2 or 3) did you go with and what shackles did you use? OEM or aftermarket?

@COTundra23 I'm on option 2 with stock shackles. I just ordered Coachbuilder +1's to replace the shackles though since I'm noticing some flex and shifting at the shackle. Hopefully the beefier shackles will cure that.

Good to know. I am going to run stock shackles for the time being as well and then may take your route if I feel necessary. Thanks for the feedback. Great looking truck!
