A battery shouldn't cause that.. Is it surging? I bet the throttle body is dirty.

How long did u let it run after replacing battery? The ecu needs some time to learn.

The ECM will take awhile to adjust after disconnecting the battery. Drive the vehicle and give us an update on your results.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Hopefully some running time will allow the ECU to get everything running smoothly again. If not, the folks here are pretty knowledgeable and will help you figure it out.

I just replaced my battery an hour ago. First start felt like it stuttered and it shut off. I turned it again, no problems. Drove it around, no problems.

Every tundra does that after reconnecting the battery.

Probably that 6.4L V8 you have in there, truck was never designed to run with something that big wedged in the engine bay! :D:thumbsup:

Glad you got it figured out and welcome from socal.

As I remember, I think you need to drive about 40 miles for ECU to learn.
