My wife's is a 2013 4Runner SR5 2x4. It was the last 2013 on the lot way into 2014, dealer wanted Gone and we got it for a steal! I keep a 1994 Jeep Wrangler S at the ranch for a work ride.
For some reason I don't have a picture of the 4runner and only good one of the Jeep.

Another couple of gas guzzlers. I must hate fossil fuels because I tend to burn a lot of it.

I have a ‘sacrificial’ winter Jeep Grand Cherokee and spend a minimum $2k between registration, insurance, maintenance/wear items, repairs, etc per year. (I drive it to not rust my truck out, worth it to me but if it was just for MPG I wouldnt bother.)

02 auto Toyota Celica GT, which I will be swapping out for a GTS motor and manual transmission..... Had to do a quick half ass rattle can paint job and is it raggedy?, yes, but it got the S.O. off my back for 2 weeks about the failing clear and gets me about 30mpg, but its been mine for the last 18yrs... Back up is a Lexus SC400 now, I still use the Tundra as a Family hauler, since we can't really do much of that at this time, It mainly resides on the driveway..

I drive a 2012 Honda civic. My ride is 100 miles per day 5 days a week. It's been a great car so far. I use the tundra on weekends or crappy weather days.

I had a Miata as my daily for 5 years. Sipped gas and was a TON of fun to drive. I switched to primarily driving the Tundra and then sold the Miata though. If you want something fun that sips on gas id definitely recommend something like a Miata or hot hatch. Anything fast gets expensive in consumables pretty quickly. Or if you just want comfort, get a Lexus. ES or GS will treat you well.

Yeah my mother bought a brand new 2012 Camry SE V6, first year for that new body style. I just could not get excited about that car. Yes it was fucking fast but man the engine sounded like a damn vacume cleaner, steering was numb as hell, although I could not fault the brakes. I was driving a 1992 Lexus SC300/5 speed when she got this car. Despite the SC being 20 years older, slower, and sucking more gas than the Camry, I'd rather have the 2JZ inline six because it was smoother and made an absolutely glorious racket when you revved it out. Also that Camry was freaking loud on the interstate, the 1992 Lexus was more hushed.

Also comparing interiors, creaks, rattles, etc when both of those cars got some miles on them the 1992 Lexus was a WAY WAY WAY WAY nicer car. Kind of sad that I thought when she bought that car new in 2012 that my 22 year old Lexus(yeah it only had 70k miles on it though) was a much superior car in terms of driving straight at 70-80mph.

I'm wanting something a bit nicer than the Camry, an Avalon, ES350 maybe, Chrysler 300. I'm kind of nixing the Dodge Challenger and Charger, because I want the V6, the Dodge models well you look lame driving the V6 version. The Chrysler 300, well nobody really knows what you have under the hood since they all look the same.

You really think any Chrysler will be as quiet as a Lexus and drive as nicely once it has 70k miles on it?

I find it interesting that you're considering some of the most reliable vehicles and one of the least simultaneously.

Really? I my last XRS had 275,000 until totaled. I purchased another. As far as gas mileage, I get 38+ on highway driving. I like the 6 speed manual. They are VERY tough to find. I don't understand Toyota. The XRS seems to be their best kept secret.

    Not nearly enough room here!
My "local hop-in vehicle" is our old 04 Pilot. 361,000 miles. Seats 8 and will get 23+mpg's even with AWD. Besides maintenance, it's cost us a couple plug&play sensors for the transmission.Resized_20200219_140147(1).jpg

I bought a used 2009 Corolla for my daily driver. I drive 120miles roundtrip for work so reliability and good gas mileage is a must. The last owner had the vehicle serviced only at Toyota dealership. I get average 31mpg and its cheaper to maintain. I'm planning to drive it until the wheels come off. No need to get anything fancy for what I need the car for.

JK I saw this car at an Audi dealership drop off point a little bit ago and had to take some pics. I've never seen one before showed the pic to my son and he knew what it was. I forgot the name now but it looks sweet. Guy started it oh man the V8 sounded tough! :burnrubber:
