Once again its reared is damn head into my life and the life of a girl friend.

A girl I dated and still remain good friends with, she actually worked with my late mom I did not know this when we started to date, had a biopsy done and its been confirmed, thyroid cancer.

She has appointments with oncologists in the coming days to determine what stage and how far advanced. She had deeper biopsies done today and more tests.

Shit got my mom 7 years ago next month, and several friends.

I hate that shit more than anything on this earth.

Rant off, going to call my friend, she moved out of state a few months back to start a new job, everything was going great now this shit....

No words to help make it much easier, but know you're sadly not alone out there.

All the best to her and you and the affected families.

Keep your head up man! My uncle just found out he had cancer two months ago. He was at stage 4 but loss to it. He's at a stage now where life is over for him. Just waiting out the rest of his days.

He is sick and bedridden only at age 44.

I can definitely relate with my own situation. Lost my Dad at 51 in 76. Lung cancer from too many cigs. I'm 61. Sorry to hear all the personal losses here from all of you that had friends and family members lose the battle. So many years lost. I could kick myself in the ass right about now.

Sorry you are going through this @RLHOK. From what I've read above, that bitch (cancer) has affected several of our Tundras.com families and friends as well as mine. Tell her to stay in the fight! My prayers are with you, her, and your families.

Sorry for what has happened to your friend, I really am, and is never good news.

Try to focus on all the survivors. There are so many. My Mom had breast cancer and Dad had prostrate cancer. New treatments are discovered every year. One of the ladies at my daycare had stage 4 breast cancer, she fought and is looking like it is very promising for her. She is 36.

So sad that this happens. We will be praying for this to go away. For me the initial shock was the hardest moment. Wife has had a couple episodes, the worst cost half a lung. No joke, never give up.

Thyroid cancer not a big deal. They take out your thyroid and then keep an eye on you. If things don't look good they inject you with radioactive stuff. takes care of things. Only downside is you take a thyroid pill daily
