Hello everyone, I've been in the market to buy a dual exhaust set up for my double cab tundra v8. Something with a low throaty rumble, I'm certainly not looking for something too loud, especially in the cab. I've come across the TRD dual exhaust and the rough country dual cat back. any recommendation out there on either one? Or if anyone got a setup that has a rumble to it that could enlighten me on where to purchase?

    Thank you everyone!

Can only speak for TRD dual exhaust. Whole hearted endorsement. Low, throaty rumble on start up. Very behaved when I'm behaving and a beast when I hammer the throttle.

The TRD exhaust does sound really good. Sometimes I wish it was a bit louder. A lot of people really like Dirty Deeds offerings, but I’ve never heard one in person so I can’t say. Keep in mind that exhaust sound is very subjective to personal preference. What sounds great to one person can sound like complete crap to another. Do as much research as you can. Good luck.

Not to hijack but I am also looking at doing the TRD set up for my DCOR tundy....stupid question now: Does the double cab and the crew max use the same cat back system? no length issues on the piping ? Thanks in advance

I was in the same boat as you until I called and talked to Keith at @dirtydeeds. I purchased his 10" system and couldn't be happier. I really wanted dual exhaust but am glad I listened to his advice. I love my 10" system and highly recommend it! He has a clip on his website as well as the video of @2020Platinum install. They don't fully capture the sound but it gives you an idea. Give Keith a call before you pull the trigger on any system.

I too bought the 10 inch exhaust from Dirty Deeds. I’m very happy with mine. When you get on the power you notice it, but quiet when cruising.
I would look into the loss of low end torque with the duel exhaust. I think Keith has a mod so you don’t lose that power with dual exhaust.

Definitely agree with the guys above, and thanks for posting my video Andre!...give Keith a call, he’s probably the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever spoken to about exhausts, especially for our Tundras!

I've had my 8 inch Dirtydeeds going on 3 yrs now. Absolutely love it. Had tried 2 others prior to this and was just a waste of money. Have tried Gibson Duels and Magnaflow

I recently installed the TRD Pro Exhaust and I’m very happy. It has a fantastic sound from my limited experience with exhaust systems.

Give Keith Carty of Dirty Deeds Industries a call and talk to him. You will be much happier with his set up than anything else out there. 760-877-4234

I have a 2019 Tundra 1794 Edition, about 6 months ago I actually had the Rough Country Dual Cat-Back Exhaust installed on my truck, and I can tell y'all that I love it and it sounds great!!
I also have gotten as much as 19mpg highway and most importantly to my wife it has zero drone. It's an unbelievably great product that's half the price of the TRD Exhaust.

So, don't mean to necro this thread, but what exactly is wrong with the rough country exhaust system? It sounds great and I see an improvement in gas mileage.

I have the rough country duals on my 2018 crew max. I have no drone. I am well pleased with what I have. I can't say anything about the other systems. I can only say I am totally satisfied with the Rough Country exhaust.

I believe its a brand loyalty thing or a lot of guys get a bird dog fee for referrals. Most give no reason or personal experience on why it is so bad. If you enjoy the product you bought then run with it. I had a Flowmaster 40 series dual in/dual out on a '18 TRD Sport loved the sound and ran it til I traded it in for my Pro. Still a lot of good information on this site.

I've had it installed for over 3 months, it sounds great and definitely louder than stock
