Apparently a lot of people really liked it. Sold out in 10 minutes of all the 2021 production.

Lots of interesting features. Not a fan of its side profile but will be cool to see what comes of this vs Cybertruck

if its anything like the H2 then it will be an amazing vehicle. Every part on that pile of garbage that was supposed to be offroad worthy was insanely cheap plastic. As an EV it makes perfect sense since it only weighed 500lbs.

I think GM has bit off way more than they can chew on this one.
They admitted that they don’t even have a working test vehicle yet and that everything in the video is CGI.

It will truly be an engineering feat if they’re able to deliver by 2021.

it is cool as shit though.

I wonder if they could have gotten the price down under $100k w/o the crab and liftup features.

Pretty cool. I'm not interested though. I need to see a 500+KM range at -40C towing a minimum of 5000lbs and an out the door sales price on a well equipped unit of below $45,000 CAD before I'll buy an electric vehicle. I'll also need a charge from zero to 100% in under 10 minutes and be able to do that in every location there is currently a gas station.

GMC P.O.S. The price alone is ridiculous and I agree with TFL's take on it, this is a "status" truck rather than an off-roader or work platform. I'd be far more inclined to purchase the Rivian R1T, but still, prices are dumb.

You need to wait a few decades for your requirements to be fulfilled. $45,000 CAD? Highly doubt that one.

i like it, its a good step in a great direction with vehicles. but 112k for it is pricey of course. would i get it? probably not. if i were to spend a good chunk of coin i would get the land cruiser.

GMC 0-60 in three seconds but needs to recharge every five hours for how long based on a 350 mile capability between charges (at 60 mph)? The video states 10 minutes gets you 100 miles suggesting charge time of thirty minutes per 350 miles(ish).

So if every five hours going 60mph, which nobody does, you have to recharge for around thirty minutes in a truck that costs over $100,000 to go another 350 miles that means it wound take you about 11.6 hours to go 700 miles at 60mph plus recharge time.

700 miles divided by 12 (a tough avg of a Tundra’s MPG highway) is 58.3 gallons used. 58.3 gallons at let’s say $2.50 a gallon is $145.75 in gas expenses.

$100,000 divided by $145.75 is 686.10 fill ups in your Tundra. If you use the above avg of 12mpg and multiply that by the larger 38 gallon fuel tank you get about 450 miles per fill up.

    450x686.10=308,745 miles on your Tundra.

You think the GMC can make it that long?

I know our Tundra’s can. And they don’t even need to crab walk to get there.

*all numbers are rough estimates. Results may vary based on your pedal commander settings, 37’s you forgot to regear, or your Toyo MT’s you didn’t “really” need.

Smart of GM to use the Hummer brand as a test mule. If it takes off, Hummer is back in business. If it fails, Hummer is dead once again. GMC and Chevrolet remain unscathed.

Four wheel steer has been done before by GMC, but not with an independent rear suspension. Of all the people that are going to buy this Hummer, there will be 2 that actually use the crabwalk. The other buyers will use it to drive to their movie premieres and to be seen on TMZ.

And why don't EVs have solar panels just everywhere?
