I get to keep these flying to all the "best" places in the world as a crew chief on 130's.

I'd sure like to see the assembly on site! That's got to be an amazing job.

I always wonder..You guys are usually located in fly over country. Isolated. What and when do you eat? Classified? Eating is big time for this old Jarhead.

I have hours and hours riding in Hercs during my USMC years. Of course not as much as the crew.

First military plane I ever flew in. I didn't realize how military aircraft landed at the time, I did not hold on and definitely went flying, so to speak....

haha, food is for sure important. It is not classified... So we work in an underground launch control center, on top of that is a missile alert facility that actually has a chef onsite 24/7. Most of us bring our own food with us though. You really roll the dice of whether you have a chef that knows how to make a grilled cheese or not..

My dad, who was a USMC aviator for 20+, gave me a tour, a walk through, in a new C-130 in 65 at MCAS El Toro I was 10. Still had new car smell. My dad didn't fly the C-130. Was the bases' SAR CH-46 chopper pilot. Retired a few months later.

So do you run the overhead cranes and load ships?

If so, that is a fun job. I would run an overhead 60-70T crane in a steel mill. Not everyone can do it, that is for sure...LOL!!

Any more pics of what you do?

Yes he does. Another member on here that I chat with off this site knows and will not tell me. I'm thinking he is to top operative in the CIA and uses the cover of OREO's. That's my tin foil hat conspiracy theory for tonight...

I still play the tactical side time to time (did it the other week in UT) when I want or need to. I truly enjoy the business side, and the benefits/perks that come with it, but I will, at times need to take control of a scene and have no problems letting my "tactical" side appear

I'm a civilian volunteer for a local PD.
    Father, husband, Toyota enthusiast, etc.

Speaking of gaining control, check out this video.
