I don't know if I've been to that exact spot, but probably pretty close at some point. I used to try and take different routes on my way home from road trips to or from California, Oregon, or going east, etc. Just looking at the names of places and highways, interstates, etc, I'm sure I've been through Walla Walla at some point, if not, then definitely close by. It's not the most direct way back home for me, but like I said, it's nice to drive different routes and see different places, even if it takes a bit longer. I don't get to south-east WA that often, but recognize the landscape/scenery that extends throughout the area.

Whenever I see a photo of a place that looks like it could be anywhere on the west coast of the US or Canada, I try to guess what area general area it could be. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes not. Where I live, the scenery is both similar and different at the same time. Still dry and rocky, but looks more desert like close to the US/Canada border then 100 miles north, it starts to look more alpine-like, unless you go up in elevation, then it happens sooner. Whether it's in the US or Canada, it's always so scenic and interesting.

Here are some pics I took a few weeks ago when I got my new tires, I don't think I posted these. I drove up in elevation, so looks more mountainous and alpine-like but if I had stayed at the lower elevations, it would have looked a lot different. I'll have to try and get some pics in different areas next time. Edit: that grass looks surprisingly green. It's been quite hot and dry since then, I'm sure it's dried out since then, probably looks more like the grass in your pic of Walla Walla by now, lol!

Nice pics! I like taking different routes home as well. Try not to take the same route twice if I can help it. I need more pictures with my pro. Had way more with my SR5.

Thanks! I always like taking pictures of any vehicles I've ever owned. As for taking a different route home, as long as I'm not in a hurry to get somewhere, I try to take the scenic route. On longer road trips, secondary highways are so much more interesting and scenic than the interstates, though certainly not as fast.

Sometimes taking the scenic or different route is unintentional, like with a friend of mine once, we (or rather he) took a wrong turn and this was before anyone had a GPS, I kept looking at the map for where I thought we were going, looking at the names of the small towns, then finally realized we were about 100 miles in the exact opposite direction, oops! I was laughing so hard it took me a while to get the words out. He didn't believe me until he saw a road sign that said something like how many miles it was to Kansas. We left Fort Collins, CO and he wanted to go either directly south or south-west but ended up going east. The lack of mountains should have been our first clue we were going in the wrong direction. We were driving an old red Mustang nicknamed the "Rustang." Good times.

Yeah reminds me of the 1/2 mile hike in the epcot employee parking lot. Always had the same spot, everybody wanted to park close.

On my way to Moses lake, east on I-90. This was at about 7AM. Left my house around 4 AM. I saw probably 12 staters between cle Elum and Moses Lake.

I used to drive from Ellensburg to Spokane and back every week. About the most boring stretch of Highway in the whole state between the river and Sprague lake but I miss it sometimes.

Yeah, it can be boring. I do it about once a year as I live on the west side of the cascades. I hardly ever go over there. I want to move to the east side so badly. Seems more peaceful there. And in the wintertime, it’s beautiful out there. I always enjoy a drive out to eastern Washington especially when going through the pass.

Dang. I’d imagine even a young one like that could still kill someone. It looks tall, maybe just the angle though.
