So if you are indeed outgunned then what? You just gonna roll over and die? If your mag in your gun goes down you just gonna pull out the white flag and call it quits? And why would anyone want an optic that allows faster, more accurate shots on target when you could have raggedy old iron sights?

Thanks but your opinion on this stinks. I’ll stick to carrying my high capacity pistol equipped with an RMR and comp because that’s exactly what works. I don’t come to a fight to squeak by by the skin of my teeth. I come to a fight to win.

To be fair, if it was socially accepted, I would carry a rifle, because rifles win fights, and pistols are made to get you to your rifle. But that’s a whole other conversation.

A gunfight is not a fair fight. You need to cheat, you want to win.
Bring a gun , bring three guns , bring all your buddies and their guns.
An extra mag is critical. If your primary magazine fails , then you need a back up. If you have a mechanical malfunction , you need to know how to tap rack bang , or how to strip a stuck case and get back in to the fight.
Being out gunned is not an reason to not get in the fight. Everyone around you is outgunned compared to you if you are the only one with the gun.
What if you run across a dude with a bomb vest ? run away and hope that only a few people die ? Or engage the MF and give more people time to get clear.
Too many thing will go wrong all at once , dont set yourself up to fail.

Wow, that took a turn. I guess our opinions on the task and purpose of a small CCW differ, and I guess mine stinks. That's fine with me. Sure, more firepower and more ammo is always better, but we were talking about small concealable carry pistols for EDC, not high capacity large frame guns as a secondary to your M4. Hell, mount a minigun in your bed if it makes you feel better.

If you're not LE, or on patrol in Helmand or Fallujah, then all this talk about suicide bombers or the need to get back in the fight after all the what-ifs is just pointless. Again, task and purpose... I carry to protect my family and myself and get out of a situation, not get into one. If you're prepping for a fight and feel like you need all that extra ammo and whiz-bangs to feel more comfortable then do your thing, I just think its unnecessary for the given task and purpose.

You’re in a world now where a small concealable gun holds 10-12 rounds and can mount a optic on the slide. And honestly, hiding a larger framed gun isn’t that hard anymore with the advent of AIWB holsters and quality concealment gear. I’ve got several friends that carry Glock 19s or 17s, with optics and extra mags, and you would never know they had it on them. And one of them is skinny as a bean pole. There is literally no excuse to be stuck in the 1930s.

OK, you're right and I'm wrong. Sorry I even found this section of Tundras.com.
Too many opinions on too many things, and everyone is 100% right or 100% wrong, so its pointless to even discuss it further. Main reason I stopped frequenting gun forums.
I'm going back to talk about trucks now... ya'll stay safe out there, no matter what you have tucked under your shirt.

Sig P938 Scorpion in the summer. Low round capacity but easy to carry additional magazines.
CZ P01 when I can wear heavier clothes.
Not a big fan of plastic guns in general.

Not saying the way you are doing it is wrong, but there are just better ways to do it now. And shitting on those ways because you don’t understand or like them isn’t gonna make them any less viable.

If you only want to carry 10 rounds and only want to cower in the corner while people around you die, you do that. I’m an aggressive person by nature, even more so if I’m pressured. I’m not gonna back down, cower, or run from a fight, especially if that fight regards the safety of my family.

Yeah this is a fun conversation but not really relevant to where I live lol. I carry a knife and a Canik 9mm with 10 rounds loaded, and if I ever need more weaponry than that then I’ll just take the L and learn my lesson about messing with the cartel.

Did you carry your M&P AIWB as well? I just shot my new Hellcat for the first time today. I started off terrible but really warmed up to it after a few magazines. I was looking at getting a G19 to replace my XD 40 sub-compact for the cooler months, but I've heard a lot of good things about the M&P 2.0s.
