So I personally have the same one. It's starting to struggle after I've used it to over my truck about 8 times, my wife's van 2 times, and my parent's highlander 1 time. When I say used it, that means if I did a compound, polish, and wax, that's 3 separate times. It's starting to have it where if it's on a setting like 2.5, it will slow to speeds around 1, then kick up after a while to the 2.5 or higher, then settle down. And that's while I'm sitting still not applying pressure to it in one area. I thought it was a glitch the first time, then it did it the rest of the time and realized it was just starting to have issues. It's worked pretty well, but I'm going to lean towards the Griot's G9 and get some better pads to go with it. Again, the kit works fine, but not what I'm looking for and didn't last as long as I'd hoped. I had bought it in Feb. of 2018

Have you checked the brushes? Comes with a second set and could be why yours is doing what its doing...

the kit I had ordered didn't come with a 2nd set of brushes. I got the kit that just came with the buffer, 3 hex pads, and the 4 small bottles of the chemical guys compounds/polishes.

Weird, the torq polisher I got with the kit came with a second set of brushes in the box...

Will this actually make waxing and detailing easier? Looking for improved shine plus, easier on shoulders, and efficiency

Oh my, the moment you use it, you'll curse yourself for all the time you spent doing it by hand in the past.

While this may look like a good deal, you'd be better served picking up a Griots Garage G9. It has more power and a lifetime warranty, from a company whose customer service is second to none.

I have both this polisher, and a Griots G9. The G9 is head and shoulders above the Torq one. Works much better and faster.

It’s $160.00, and occasionally it gets included in one of the Autogeek sales for 20-25% off. I think I paid $125.00 this way. You’ll still have to buy pads and products separately, but they'll be of a higher quality. Lifetime warranty also. I haven’t had to use my warranties on Griots products, but from what I hear they actually stand by it.

My G9 quit working after a few cars, sent the old back and they sent a new one. Top notch customer service.

Well y’all got me some grief when my wife saw how hot our Amazon card was burning. Cancelled torque bought a G9 kit instead (cost a little more) more wash products, micro fibers cloths, and other stuff as well.

    I’d check the brushes.

They seem to calm down a bit after you do their vehicle.
