New Rims and Tires without a lift

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum/threads. I am looking to get new rims/wheels and Tires however I do not want a lift. What is the biggest Tire and wheel I can get with a 2016 Tundra SR5?

 

Welcome from Virginia, Bryce! The biggest tire you can fit without a lift is 275/70R18 (33" tire). I'm running that size on stock wheels with no rubbing issues anywhere (you can see the pic in my avatar). I believe that tire size can be used with up to an 8" wheel but I know some folks are running it on a 9" wheel. Enjoy the site and prepare to empty your wallet ... lol. I bought my Tundra last year and thought it was perfect ... until I started checking out rides on here.

 

Thank you, so much. I want a better wheel than what came with my truck, it looks cheap and plastic. I would not mind TRD, or Mickey Thompson.

 

Lots of folks on here and or Craigslist looking to sell their trd wheels (black/machined) or the pro wheels (all black) which are 18"x8" with a 60-65 offset (someone correct me) because they upgrade to 18x9 with different offset/backspacing.

Typically can be had for $500-ish (plus shipping) from what I've seen. Good deals for both parties.

the factory 18x8 wheels have a 60mm offset.
the factory 20x9 wheels have a 50mm offset.

Look in the marketplace thread on this site and scout craigslist, there are usually some good deals out there. Just gotta find them!

And I agree with you on the tires. That's why we call them crapstone tires on here!

Welcome! Unfortunately other than a small selection of aftermarket wheels, the Pro's and TRD's are about it for stock stance. I'm in the same boat. Not enough choices. I don't want flares, and I don't want any tread past my fenders, so we're very limited in terms of choices.

 

Really? Seems when I was looking for my wheel/tires, it was almost an avalanche of to many choices.

 

Not in +35mm to +60mm.

 

I'm in the exact same boat. Ordered my Tundra last month, SR5. Im putting these on, +40 offset.

Based on what I could dig up, the 20 mm offset difference plus the 9 inch rim will push out a total of 1.25 inches past stock. Based on the pics I've seen here, it should stick out slightly past the fender, but should be modest.

I agree that options narrower than +25 are slim. I lucked out and found these.
