    Hello all!

Im looking for recommendations for a hard top tonneau cover for my '20 DC, everyday use, nothing crazy would like to be able to easily utilize the entire bed when needed. So far Ive liked the Bakflip MX4 and Weathertech alloy cover. Im in central Texas and the sun is brutal during most of the year if that matters. Max budget is $1200. Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have the undercover ultra flex and am very happy with it. It uses the factory bed rail system making it un usable if that's a problem. Very nice cover and matches the bed rails perfectly. The ability to close the tailgate with the cover closed was a must for us so that narrowed it down to the undercover and bakflip. I preferred the smoth satin finish and the carpeted underside so we got the undercover.

Rugged Cover 2 hard tri fold....absolutely love mine. It’s water tight, comes off an on in a minute and has built in LED lights.

I have the BakFlip HD on my CM. It's been on there for 5 years now in the Arizona sun. I'm very happy with it so far. I had to buy the rail relocation plates and am glad I did. The rails are still strong and do not move or flex at all. Additionally, I put a Bedrug in the bed instead of a bedliner or spray-in bedliner and am very happy with it also.
The bed of my truck is like a huge trunk when I go to Costco or travel and I still use the entire bed as a truck when I need it.

I have a Bakflip MX4 and it's been on a little over 2 years in the DFW sun almost all the time. Its holding up well. If I did it again I'd spend a little more and go retractable.

It's hard to beat a Diamondback, and fairly easily removed when you need the whole bed.

I’m interested in this cover and was wondering if you could elaborate on "It uses the factory bed rail system making it unusable" or snap a pic of the rail-cover interface.

Can you keep the cleats in a fixed location? Do you have to remove all the cleats all together? Do they clash with the cover? Or can the cleats still slide in between the fixed cover clamp?

Ideally I’d like to keep my three bed rails and cleats and also have a cover.

I had an undercover flex for my last cover. It needs the rail system to mount. I didn’t have the rails at the time and the cover mount constantly fell off the bedrail. Its a fantastic cover if you have the deck rails.

The rails are usable when the cover is open. A member on here trimmed the eye mounts to fit when the cover closes

Thanks for confirming. Has anybody came across or have any pics of the trimmed cleat?

I’ve read every tonneau / tri-fold / undercover thread and haven’t been able to come across the cleat trimming

I’d recommend a Rugged liner. Good price, easy to install/remove and does not need a dedicated track system.

My bad, the cleat is not trimmed. The guy replaced the black screw knob with a big wingnut. That gave just enough clearance

I’m running Peragon. It is removable when you need the full bed. I’m in NV and in the summer the sheetmetal gets hot so I wear a glove to open it. I like the lock system and the open/close system.

Lomax. Been on for over a year and no issues. Like to keep my stuff locked up but comes off in about 15 seconds for hauling.

I have had a few over the years and currently have an undercover flex. I like it much better than the bakflip.
