    Not to mention Theismann. Also a UGA player and a Steelers player in a preseason game whose lower leg was twirling like a helicopter blade. Except for Theismann, I've only seen them once, by choice. Except for Theismann, the networks kept showing that. After the backlash, they don't replay gruesome injuries anymore. Good policy IMO.

    Theisman's injury really sucked. Pretty much ended him although repair methodologies have improved a lot since his injury.

    He stated he did it for his boys, not himself. He wanted to show them you could make it through adversity in life.
    His was unique. He would have been back faster if it was just a break. But his was an open compound fracture that got infected. He then got sepsis and almost died. Dak Prescott will be back at beginning of next year. It was a bad break, but not nearly as bad as Smith's.

    Serious ankle injuries are tough to come back from, especially for a QB. All that weight on a repaired ankle. Mobility and throwing is my concern. The MRI prolly won't look too good. Lots of bone and torn tissues need to be fixed in Daks case. Compound ankle fracture......
