I finally had some time to paint my calipers. Wanted to do a good job so I took them off the truck, Im OCD like that.
    20170306_163628.jpg 20170306_163614.jpg
Primed them, let it dry for awhile before I hit'em with color, thought they were dry enough to reassemble...they wernt
In my anger I didnt snap any pics of the cluster fu*k that followed with the paint pulling/ stretching
    ANYWAYS
They're in, not my best work. Live and learn.

I think someone here (I forget who) had a similar issue. Truck just needed an update.

I bought caliper paint and I think it tells you to bake it a 250 for 30mins then let cool for another 30 then bake and cool total of two times then let sit untouched for 48 hours to cure hence why I haven't done them

We're there spacers on the bolts for the trd skid? There should be two 1 1/2 inch and two at 4 inches roughly. If they aren't there they got left out during an oil change. I know some of the guys I used to work with at a dealership would get lazy with those or forget to put them back in.

Installed a Fortin EVO-ONE remote start to my TRD PRO, I have pictures step by step I might put everything together to make a Install guide, really easy install the hardest part is working with some of the tiny wires in the passenger side and parking lights afabf6552e8f493cbd87e4657836bd1a_9123ae01ea87a781d2c711aece9cbcc6b0f6d63a.jpg

Thanks for posting. Any idea what the dimensions are of the box? I have two 10" subs that would probably fit nicely back there.

I don't like the tundra roll at all. It was a huge issue for me when I was researching the truck. The sway bar took care of it.

No problem. Though I will say, the engineers that design these skid plates are not always aware of how crappy they make it for their technicians sometimes. This plate style is one of them.
6479fe84b3a293a00a542ecdfc804ae8_c309f9bfaa87df2d9fadbc3e9f8cfb8d2e506591.jpg so red is the spacers I mentioned. Green is the path where the oil actually drains. And blue is where it's a bit*h and a half to clean after the filter leaks every where unless you do it the "proper way" according to the engineer but make it take an extra 20 minutes on a job that only pays .5 of an hour flat rate. And the better way to do it makes a mess aswell, after 2 years I was pretty good at them but they still are messy to do with out a skid plate.

I left before the pro skid plates really started needing their first services. 55192db6bf8ea6ced98eb10a16219357_50482c52beb41041b5838548d709aed0538fabf6.jpgthese are the trd ones that I was thinking of, no access hole for the oil filter, but still had the spacers.

Hind sight being what it is, I would have left the caliper in place and wrapped the drum with a bag like everyone else.

I didnt want to run a switch in the cab, used a key fob. Works good, also has a few different strobes.

I hopped on the bandwagon. It is a good thing we all live a ways apart. I knew I had to get that flag as soon as I saw it posted, but would never have bought it had I seen it on a truck around here instead.

Tough to keep a truck clean around here at this time of year...

Received the last piece of my chrome delete project. Thanks to @Roman for hooking me up with the TRD Pro grille. Also received my Rokblokz mud flaps in the mail. These should help keep the side of my truck and travel trailer protected better than the OEM ones.

Took a stab at wrapping the leer to match the truck roof. Ended up not being able to remove the rack tracks which made it a lot harder. Ended up with some less than stellar cuts along the tracks and a couple wrinkles on the ends but overall it's acceptable for a first try. Without the tracks I think it would've been a pretty simple job.
