Gods honest truth... you have way to much trailer for the truck.
To long, to heavy and to much hitch weight (which is probably dry weight which does not include battery or propane tanks).
You need a 3/4 ton at least, and preferably a 1 ton SRW or DRW to pull that trailer with.

Finally got to take my new camper out with the Tundra. Imagine XLS 22RBE. Tundra pulled it like a champ through the Texas hill country. Did use an equalizer WDH and zero sway at all. Did have alittle bit of push pull feel over bridges but it was minimal. Trailer weighs 5300ish dry and we pulled with fresh water full and a very loaded truck. Would have rather pulled for the first time with a dry freshwater tank but dealer filled it up for us to test all the plumbing before leaving. My only complaint is the WDH is very loud on slow speed turns.

I'd try moving some of the "very loaded truck" stuff to the trailer. Payload is usually the thing that gets eaten up first in our trucks.

    Also; :worthless:

@375 Ranger even moving things back to the trailer, you're simply out of a 1/2 ton truck's league on that big trailer. Watch this video for some good info.

Purchased my first tt today. New to me 2013 Forest River Surveyor SP220. Small and fairly lightweight, just what I needed for deer camp and some traveling. Only moved it about 5 miles but towed easily.

Does anyone have or tow anything similar to this? https://www.jayco.com/products/toy-haulers/2020-octane-super-lite/161/ Eventually (years out) I think I will shoot for something like this, but I need to get some dimensions first. I need to know how much space is between the fridge and the far wall. My Quadzilla is just a bit longer than the totally open garage space, so it's front tires would need to be able to fit between the fridge and the wall. If it fits, and if no one points out terrible issues with Jayco, then I think this will be my future Toy hauler.

I have the same hitch and they are probably the best out there but can squeal like a stuck pig on slow turns. Get a pair of these, they pretty much get rid of the noise.

Cant answer your questions, but wanted to comment on the quadzilla. Haven't heard anyone mention one in a long time. A buddy straightened a curve on one once, broke all five strands on a barbed wire fence. Cut him up pretty good.

Ouch! That'd be a bad day. Really hope the cage will protect me if I wind up in anything like that. So as to not derail this thread, here's a link to the ATV/UTV thread on here. https://www.tundras.com/threads/atv-utvs-and-accesories.11498/

Thank you I just bought some! It wasn’t bad on the trip to the campground but on way home that sucker was so loud I thought something was about to break back there lol.

Yup did that. I basically drove to pick up my camper and went straight to the campground with it. Moved everything over when I got there. Will def keep most of the weight in the trailer and keep my freshwater tank either dry or a few gallons for bathroom breaks enroute......not full lol. I really expected the Tundra to feel the load more during the towing portion but man I was pleasantly surprised with the handling of this truck while towing.

They will help. Also, lube the friction points on the hitch head with grease, do NOT lube the bars or L-brackets. Enjoy your trailer!

We have an older pop up. So much better than a tent! Will eventually get a TT but got this for just $1300 and have enjoyed it several years.

What's wrong with Lance? I've been looking at trailers this past week and Lance is probably at the top of the list so far.
Is there something I should know before looking at them more?

Jasper, AB. Letting the gear dry out. I had ridden into Banff the night before in snow in July. Awoke to rain and fog and took one of the best rides ever to Jasper. Don't get me wrong... I love car camping and have done it for over 40 years. But, camping and motorbikes are unmatched.

I have been looking at these. How many people do you take in it? I have me my wife and our two kids just wondering if it would be cramped or if it would be fine? Thanks

There’s four of us. Me, my wife, nine and fifteen year old kids. Oh and two big dogs. Cramped is very dependent on where and how you camp. We spend very little time inside and it seldom rains in the summer where we live. The dinette is the main issue. We have two folding stools that we put on the end. We are only all at the table to play board games as we always eat outside. We wanted the smallest, lightest trailer that would sleep four. The Baja edition is lifted with larger water and propane tanks. It’s goes anywhere my truck goes. Awesome camper under 20k 174bh Baja 6506CDDB-9DF4-44CC-9D2E-35E2B680B560.jpg

Thanks for the response! Sounds like I’ll have to look into these some more and possibly go this route.
