Is it just me or does the orange peel paint job that is on Toyota's piss you off? I just got the 2021 TRD PRO and it has that orange peel paint job and i do not like it. I called Toyota and it's covered under the 3yr 36,000 mile warranty, but the dealership said it's not a defect because it's on all of their vehicles. When I spoke with Toyota they said it's a factory defect.. I am so mad

it's different' it's all over my driver side door back rear panel. When you look at the truck in the shade you see the orange peel. I know about the lower stone guard part

Even Toyota said it's a factory defect and is covered under the warranty, but the dealership isn't going to get it fixed.

They will if you get a district manager involved.

If Toyota says that it's a defect, the dealership has two. Get the contact info for that Toyota rep, get them saying it's a defect in writing, and take it to a different dealership. Or take it to that dealership if you want to hold their feet to the fire and make their lives miserable. I personally wouldn't take it to a dealership that I was showing to be inept because they might do something else underhanded as retaliation. I'm a cynic.

What dealership did you go to? I stopped going to the dealership that I bought mine from because the service advisor was a tool.

Good plan. Once you get it taken care of elsewhere and have all the documentation; I would also go back to that dealership and arrange to speak with the owner. I would document and show them how the service manager treated you, and that's why they're losing your business. Tell them you're going to tell everyone to avoid them for any kind of service as a result. There is no reason for a service manager to be anything but helpful in this case. I understand that some things customers want aren't within the realm of possibility, but you have the company who manufactures the vehicle saying it's an issue. They should be bending over backwards to help you out.
