    Hi there

I have 2007 Toyota Tundra limited 4x4. Have an issue every time I put the gas in it - problems with starting right at the gas station. I use Costco 87 gas with ethanol.

Every time at the gas station to start it I need to do multiple attempts for about half a minute in total. At home it starts perfectly. At the gas station during the start I hear the starter rotating continuously but not starting.

Recently I also had the engine light code of catalytic converter P0420 which is minor and most probably does not affect the problem.

Could you please tell if anybody had the similar problems or any ideas. Appreciate any help.

Had a similar issue on a company vehicle. (Not Toyota) In both cases it was related to a sensor for the fuel system, unfortunately cannot recall the specifics as it was a company vehicle. Ended up with a brief visit to dealership and fixed under a tsb.

What did the issue end up being? I’ve had the same issue twice now on my 2008 Tundra. A few months ago I had the purge valve replaced and it seemed to fix it, but today I filled up at the gas station and same issue again. Acts like it wants to start but won’t. If I give it a little gas that usually does the trick and it starts up. Battery is good.
