40E63798-C416-4D77-84B4-635A91D9DDE0.jpg I have a 2020 TRD Pro and replaced the tires at 1000 miles. Went from 275’s to 295’s and the truck starting pulling pretty hard to the right. Am I wrong in assuming the tire change should not cause this? Or could that be it? No other modifications at all, just tires.

Yikes, sorry to hear about this problem!
I replaced tires when I got my truck, granted it already had 36k miles on it, and didn't have any issues.

I would not expect a tire change to cause this.

Have you tried to swap your tires to different corners? Maybe you have a bad tire? Swapping should help find the culprit.

I'm sure others can chime in on other possibilities.

Yea, at the dealer for first service, so they are going to check the alignment and rotate them. May be going back to discount tire to make sure ones not bad. They cost too damn much for that

sometimes a change in tire size can amplify an alignment that is on the edge of being good/bad. i have noticed that on other vehicles as well.

Keep us posted on what happens, curious if your alignment is out of compliance or your tire(s) is bad or something else?

I recently had new tires all around on my Camry. It suddenly had hard pull to the left and the alignment was dead on. They switched the front tires and it pulled hard to right. The tire dealer said it was a bad tire. After replacing 1 tire didn't help they kept the car for a day and ended up remounting and rebalancing both front tires and now it tracks perfectly.

    For what it's worth........
When I had them put the shackles on the rear, I was told I too was going to need an alignment up front. Something about the stance being different from raising the back just a bit. Truck was bran new with stock tires. Probably less than 1000 total miles on it. They did show me the pre and post alignment paperwork. It was not that expensive and whether I was getting taken for a ride by them or not........I figured since it was new, then go ahead and do it before the tires start wearing funny.

Not sure if these things are just a little close to being out of alignment from the get go or not. Either way......no problems or issues since.

Dealer said the right side was out of alignment, so he fixed that. But said a tire does have pull as well. They crossed over and rotated the tires. About to leave and see if that works.

It definitely can. The old tires wear and may be more worn on one side, edges, etc. Then you put a brand new, more square and even tire on- and yes that old alignment is now off because the new tire has a different shape than the old ones. So your alignment was off before I am sure, just not noticed so much because the old tires were worn to compensate. Get that puppy aligned and enjoy.

It was a brand new truck with 1000 miles. But dealer did say it was slightly off and corrected it. He also said one of the tires has an issue, and it definitely still pulls. Back to the tire store to get them to replace it.

I've noticed my Tundra and most new Toyota's pull more to the right than other vehicles.

When I had my 4 runner...driving in a strong sustained wind from the left was maddening keeping it straight.

West Texas can be a real hoe with wind.
