About time to replace my old commuter car (2000 Honda Civic). Served me well but looking for something a bit more roomy inside with latest tech.

I got it down between the Camry and the Accord Sport. Not sure yet if I want hybrid. If not , I will stay with the 4 cylinders engine. Already got 2 V8's at home.

Camry is a bit cheaper but the accord sport looks pretty dope.

My mom just got a 2017 accord sport. I drove it for a while.....I gotta say I was IMPRESSED!!
Everything's so tight (handling, corners, brakes, acceleration, steering etc)
I had to fight the urge to floor it and pull a few drifts mixed with some Jeff Gordon driving!

Don't have any experience driving the 2017 Camry but I'd say the camrys got some shoes to fill if you drive the accord first!

Not to mention the interior is BEAUTIFUL!! Mom got the black leather with red stitching and heated seats...loaded....I was jealous! LOL immediately after, I started looking at new tundras and katzkin leather seats for my truck LOL

I just bought a 2017 Civic EX-L for my daily commuter and it is great. It was down to the Accord Sport/EX or Civic EX-L. You will be surprised with the room the civic has. I do not regret my decision. The Accord Sport lacked features I wanted, such as push start, apple car play, leather, etc... I would have had to get an EX or EX-L to get the things I wanted. So to save money I bought the civic and it is phenomenal. Check one out, it is pretty roomy.

+1. I saw it at the auto show and I thought it was a concept car. It looked really good. The full red leather interior was a bit much though...

yep bank account is running low from it..
I would stick with Camry more America parts than the honda...

Honda is not bad car but when it comes to service down the road it's not driveway freindly or autoparts freindly. ( transmission oil change example you have to go straight to the dealer for it for the oil no autoparts store)

I haven't read up on if Honda has changed the transmission or not but I was aware of transmission failures 90 to 120k range. ( Isolated cases) hybrid sucks ass.

If you can wait until the summer the 2018 Camry hits the showroom... its getting really impressive reviews and the pictures of the XSE model looks amazing both inside and out.

Both very reputable choices, high in reliability. Often comes down to personal preference.

Damn is that a nice looking car. If it wasn't for wanting the utility of the truck this would probably have been my next ride.

I've never thought Camry for myself but this one in person and in the pictures got me really thinking. I also can't give up our Tundra however and we'll be adding a 4runner due to the kids and pets and camping trips however... If I could only find that money tree.

Mind you they were only reviews, so I'll want to see it myself again when it is fully released but I read more than a couple reviews placing the Camry they said a better value than the entry Lexus. The ES I think it was, not the IS. This new Camry is going to force them again to update the Avalon above and beyond, otherwise I don't see why you wouldn't get XLE Camry V6 over Avalon and the XSE Camry gives it a great sport/muscle appearance. Not the '88 Camry I used to own... or the 2000 model for that matter lol.

We expect if following trend recently, should be close so same price structure now +500

That's at least following the Canadian releases lately.

    Total speculation however

Camry xse FTW. Personally I wouldn't get it in the 4cyl I know the v6 is a +5k upgrade, but man is that 2gr a blast. My sister has it in her 2011 Camry and my dad has it in his 2015 xse Camry. I think he gets 25 to the gallon in it too plus I'll get up and scoot very nicely

Yeah. The EX-L is only offered with the turbo. I only have 314 miles on mine, but so far so good. Plus, getting 40+ mpg isn't to bad.

I think it all comes down to what you want. I think Honda's technology is way ahead of Toyotas. Also, the Camry is going to cost more than the accord I think.

I've driven hondas for 28 years('84 prelude,90 accord, 99 accord, 2010 accord, 2014 civic) and toyota trucks for 21, hondas are sportier to drive, the accord sport has some good getup and go but we went for CRV awd for winter. Toyota cars are more for smooth driving style, if did get a camary it would be a V6 my friend has a 2011 it's very smooth with nice power.
