I have the C4 Fabrications Overland bumper inbound and it ships raw. I have a friend who runs a professional powder coat place and he said bring it in whenever it gets here.

I do not know how to estimate how many pounds of PC to purchase myself for this job? 2 pounds or 3 maybe?

Secondly, is there a preferred black finish and PC powder company that anyone recommends for front bumpers? Like a flat black or something?

Thank you for any information. My friend does not do car parts so he just said buy the powder I want and whatever amount so rather than go off his info I figure I would ask this forum of highly educated scholars.

I am kind of confused that if he runs a “professional powder coat place”, he doesn’t have this information for you. I have a powder coat person that does all of my work, whether it be car parts or patio furniture. Anyways, it sure where to purchase, but they have a “hammered” black that very closely resembles Line X.

I can't answer that question but I can tell you to not cheap out on the powder. This is hands down one of the best, http://www.prismpowder.com/

EDIT: your guy should be able to tell you how much you need, it's based off square inches or square feet.

Awesome. I will get with him on the square feet or inches issue and order from Prism.

The bumper won’t be shipped until mid November so he can’t finally touch or see it until then. So he doesn’t want to give me bad info. I’m guessing three to four pounds should be enough for a bumper.
